CargoBear 2.0 system roof rack for Land Rover New Defender from 2020 onwards CargoBear, meet the New Defender! New Defender, meet the CargoBear! Two legends are coming together for the first time: the new Land Rover Defender, arguably the most complete 4x4 off-road vehicle at present, and our tried and tested, very successful modular roof rack system CargoBear. The bear crowns every new Landy, whether it’s a 90 or a 110. At Nakatanenga, we took our time to finetune the CargoBear for every design detail, technical specification and user requirement the Defender L663 (from MY 2020) challenged us with. At its full length of 2.41 m, our rack consists of 3 crossbars, two platform elements as well as front and rear modules. The overall width of 1.20 m gives you almost 3 square meters of fully usable cargo space. The entire surface can be loaded and walked upon – a decisive advantage over many competing products. The CargoBear is screwed into the original mounting points of the roof rails which have to be removed, of course. Another great advantage over the competition is the fact that you can configure the CargoBear rack in two heights: At 100 mm, the glass roof – if you have one –remains fully functional. If your Defender doesn’t have a glass roof or if you prefer a lower, more streamlined profile, the rack can be mounted at only 80mm above the roof. Whether you’re choosing the high or low mount, aerodynamics was always our main concern in the CargoBear’s development. There are no legally required speed limits when driving with the rack, but we recommend a top speed of 160 km/h when empty and 130 km/h when loaded. For the overall load capacity please refer to your owner’s manual and the specific version or configuration of your vehicle. The roof rack’s weight of up to 50 kg has to be deducted from the dynamic load capacity. The new Defender’s overall look is perfectly complimented by the matte black powder coating of both aluminum and stainless steel elements. While the V-shaped rear module accommodates the antenna and the rear view camera and guarantees full functionality, the front element is specifically designed to easily integrate an Osram VX1000-CB or other light bars. Rear ladder left, black powder-coated What makes a good rear ladder? It is sturdily constructed and allows safe and easy access to the roof rack in all weather conditions. That much is clear. A VERY good rear ladder, like the one from Terrafirma, also fits aerodynamically to the shape of the bodywork, minimizing fuel consumption and wind noise. In addition, the view of the rear lights remains unrestricted and opening the rear door is not impeded in any way. The Terrafirma rear ladder for the New Defender (from BJ2020) is made of 25 mm steel tubes and has non-slip perforated steps and a durable powder coating in elegant black.  Installation instructions and mounting materials are included.    

Seat cover for Land Rover New Defender 110/130, driver and passenger side This isn’t off-the-peg, this is made to measure! If you’re looking for seat covers for the New Defender – the front seats to be precise – look no further than our seat protectors made from durable, and easy-to-clean 1000D Nylon 6.6. The seat covers were developed by us in our own tailor's workshop  – guaranteeing highest functionality and best workmanship. To ensure maximum comfort and compatibility with the climate technologies in your seats, the covers feature breathable mesh fabric on the actual sitting surface. And even though it is mesh, it will still protect the seat from dirt and moisture. To achieve a perfect fit, the one-piece cover is tightly tailored and does not require zippers or similar. Simply pull it over the seat, Velcro the top part underneath the headrest and close the sturdy straps and buckles on the underside. Additionally, a mesh pocket with a rubber foam piece inside is wedged into the gap between backrest and seat surface to prevent the cover from sliding. On the sides, openings in the cover allow easy access to the headrest controls. As with all our textile products, we always aim to add additional storage space. Generously sized MOLLE patches on the sides as well as large pockets in the rear of the backrest and the front rail of the seat make it very easy to store everyday items and small pieces of equipment temporarily or permanently. Recess for this lever.  This article was designed in our in-house tailor shop. A dedicated team and short distances allow for continuous quality control and further development of our textile products. And if you already have a tailor's workshop in house, then it is easy to also accept customer change requests, special designs, suggestions and proposals for improvement at short notice and to implement them as far as possible. Mail or phone call is all it takes! And by the way: At Nakatanenga we only use materials with 100% nylon PU coating for all textile articles. Unlike PVC, nylon PU (polyurethane) is free of harmful phthalate-based plasticisers. Until recently, low-molecular phthalates were the most common plasticisers for plastics of all kinds and are even used in food and cosmetics. However, they accumulate in the environment and are suspected of acting like endogenous hormones due to their molecular nature. This is highly questionable from a toxicological point of view and is considered to be a trigger for various diseases, including cancer. For Nakatanenga, it is therefore a matter of course to use only ecologically and health-safe alternatives such as nylon PU for the coating of textile products.

CargoBear accessory holder for maximum traction Maximum Traction Boards are an extremely lightweight plastic alternative to conventional aluminum sandboards, a must-have for all serious off-roaders and expedition enthusiasts. If you have at least two CargoBear crossbars - or the entire roof rack - on the classic Defender (up to MY2016) or Mercedes G-Class, you can now install a robust and quickly accessible mount for the traction boards with little effort. The mount consists of a bracket set with two of our tried-and-tested CargoBear awning brackets (stainless steel) and special aluminium mounting plates for the traction boards. The awning brackets are simply screwed to the crossbars’ angled sides. All brackets are powder-coated in black. Screws and fastening material (stainless steel) - also for the traction board - are included.

Bulkhead conversion kit Removing the full height bulkhead from the L663 Defender 90 and 110 'hardtop' is a popular modification, but when the factory bulkhead is removed from the vehicle, the area behind the seats looks raw and unfinished.The Bulkhead Delete Kit cleans up the front edge of the cargo area and the trim area behind the seats to create a sleek OEM interior when the bulkhead has been removed from an L663 Defender Hardtop.The partition removal kit's molded, raised lip creates a raised mini-partition that prevents objects in the rear of the vehicle from falling into the cavity behind the front seats and/or damaging the seat backs.With the partition removed, the interior of your Defender Hardtop suddenly feels lighter and airier. Items in the rear of the vehicle are easier to reach and you can adjust the seats over a wider range.The Bulkhead Delete Kit can be installed in around 30 minutes and it has been designed to utilize the existing mounting points, meaning no modifications need to be made to the interior of your Defender. This design feature also means that the installation is fully reversible at a later date. The installation kit includes 3D printed blanking plugs to cover the empty M6 fixing holes where the bulkhead brackets were attached to the B-pillar.Disclaimer: The L663 Partition Removal Kit is not intended to provide structural strength or any form of personal protection to occupants from a shifting load. Wind deflector ClimAir Land Rover New Defender TYPE L663, front Off-road vehicles are not designed for aerodynamics and invertebrate air currents, of course. This is rarely noticeable when driving, because you usually don't even get into the corresponding speed ranges. However, there is one aspect where the Defender's rustic box shape very quickly reveals annoying disadvantages and that is the almost rectangular and fairly vertical windows. Especially when driving off-road or in cold and wet conditions, for example when the ventilation in the Landy is weak and the windows mist up, you're glad if you can roll the windows down a little. However, the effect described at the beginning of this article soon becomes apparent. The strong turbulence on the angular windows is not only loud, but also draws even more dust and water into the car. This annoys even the most hardened off-roaders. Self-adhesive anti-slip pads Perforated metal sheets, as used on our CargoBear roof racks, on ladders, steps and other climbing aids on vehicles, are much safer than regular metal surfaces. Additional anti-slip pads, however, offer an unbeatable safety advantage, especially in wet or dirty conditions. The anti-slip pads are designed to perfectly match the hole patterns and due to its black color, they also compliment the overall look of our products. The material for the pads originates in the sports sector and has been widely used on skateboards, for example. For the CargoBear, we offer ready-cut, self-adhesive anti-slip pads measuring 16 x 24 cm individually or in sets of 3, 6 or 12. Please note: the multi-packs provide increasing savings regarding the price per item. Since the pads are manufactured with in-house laser cutting technology, we can supply custom formats on request.

Coupling rod/ Rods for height adjustment Installing lift kits for 4x4’s usually requires complex (and expensive) modifications. Not so if your vehicle comes with a self-regulating air suspension, like the New Defender. Raising the ride height of the New Landy by 1 or 1,6 inches takes very little in terms of effort or budget. The principle is very simple and has been employed with Discovery 5 and Range Rover Sport models for quite some time. Simply replace the original rods on all four wheel suspensions with our replacements. The new rod’s different dimensions will trick the self-regulating suspension to permanently lift the ride by 1” or 1,6”, respectively, in all drive modes. Once the new lift rods are installed, the vehicle’s sensor system will adjust itself automatically to the new ride height after the first restarting of your car. Resetting the ride to original factory settings is just as easy and only a question of minutes. We produce these 1“ and 1,6“ lift rods for the New Defender in our own workshop. The rods are laser machined from extremely robust high-quality plastics and the bushings are created in an additive process. This makes both components highly resistant to degradation by weather or chemicals, like fuel, oils etc. The custom-designed bushings are flexible and extend to both sides of the rods’ connections. In terms of quality, this is a far superior solution over many other products on the market, specifically aluminum rods with cheap off-the-shelf cable grommets. Available as +1“ or + 1,6“. Caution: these products are without part certification and are not road legal. They¬¬ may not be used on public roads.

Side steps available for: Defender 110 & 110 Hard Top - from 2020 Defender 130 - from 2020 Side running boards and door sills, black powder-coated, with anti-slip tape and stainless steel filler plates. Designed for mounting on the existing brackets in the sill.The plastic sill covers need to be slightly modified to gain access to the fixing points. An adapter is supplied for use with the original jack.

Solar panel for bonnet Next generation solar cells are increasingly integrated into structural components. Instead of separate, awkwardly mounted modules on the roof of a house, for example, the roof tiles themselves function as solar panels. Our PV modules for the hoods of 4x4s and vans follow this principle. While they do not yet replace the hood, they are so thin (only 3 mm) and so flexible that they precisely fit the shape of the hood – making them hard to recognize as an extra add-on. In addition, they are also extremely aerodynamic and robust enough to even step on them if needed. The hood modules for Defenders Td5 and Td4, New Defender, Jimny 2, Mercedes G-Class and Sprinter have an output of between 75 and 90 W at 12 V, depending on the model. Your only requirement is sufficient sunlight to generate enough power for the primary and secondary batteries in the car during the day. This in turn enables you to reliably operate all the devices needed in a camper or expedition vehicle: navigation and communication devices, laptop, cooking equipment, refrigerator and much more. Your equipment always remains fully functional and a sufficient charge of the starter battery is also guaranteed. Mounting the PV module and wiring it up to the batteries in the vehicle are equally easy DIY jobs. The included adhesive tape is all you need to attach the panel to the hood while the intelligent charge controller and the adapter allow for plug & play electric installation. Note: as the connection is individual, the power cables may have to be extended.

Side Box for Land Rover New Defender from BJ 2020 With off-road vehicles like the New Defender, exterior cargo space is a great idea. After all, there are many pieces of gear and equipment that need to be quickly accessible but shouldn’t be kept on the inside, because they are either too filthy or they smell of gas, Diesel or other automotive chemicals. A perfect storage place for these things is our side-mounted storage box for the New Landy’s right side.* The side-mounted storage box is made from Plastic and offers a hefty 24 l of volume. It is mounted on the standard roof rail or on our CargoBear roof rack – adapters are included. Its size and the maximum load of 17 kg allow for a huge amount of equipment that can be stored here. Inside the box, there’s a built-in storage mesh for more safety and tidiness. The carrier can be locked and is also watertight, of course. For easier cleaning, there is a plughole with a rubber stopper in the bottom. The side-mounted cargo carrier is designed for maximum aerodynamics and the reduction of wind noise. Its color black compliments every New Defender and if you want to take customization even further, depressions on the lid are the perfect spot to attach one of our Land Rover logos. Please note:*The side-mounted carrier box can only be installed on the right and not together with the ladder. CargoBear cross bars  There’s only one real alternative for the full CargoBear roof rack: the CargoBear cross bars on their own! If you don’t need the entire cargo platform on your New Defender, because you carry only long work equipment or sports gear like surfboards, skis or kayaks, the cross bars alone will do the job perfectly. The same applies for roof tent campers. For the new 110 Landy this means that the standard setup consists of 3 cross beams for the entire length of the roof. The sturdy bars will give you a roof rack that is significantly more robust than any off-the-shelf rooftop carrier. The cross bars are available single or as sets of 2 or 3. They are 100% identical to the ones we sell in the CargoBear kits, i.e. they are 1,450 mm wide (1,300 mm usable) and 120 mm long. The aluminum bars feature stainless steel bases that connect to the standard roof rail via inserted sliding blocks (included). As with the complete CargoBear platform, the bars can be mounted on two height levels, 80 or 100 mm respectively. Choosing the higher level will ensure that your roof window retains its full functionality. The crossbars feature a very wear and tear resistant matte black RAL 9005 powder-coating. A great number of recessed lashing slots allow you to attach lashing rings, brackets, hooks, stud fittings etc. You can also attach your lashing straps directly, of course. The standard CargoBear accessories will also fit the various lashing and mounting points. Thanks to the modular system, this makes a future upgrade to a full CargoBear platform absolutely hassle-free.

Spare Wheel Bracket Cover Rear Door New Defender   If you’re driving your New Defender mostly short distance and in city traffic, you will most likely have thought about removing the enormous spare wheel from the cargo hold door. For one, it impedes your all-round view in dense traffic and when you’re parking it makes your already sizable Defender that much longer. So, if you decide to do without your spare wheel, we have an equally elegant and flexible solution for you to cover the wheel mount openings in the rear door. Two perfectly fitted black steel covers - available in smooth or tread plate – are simply screwed into the original mount holes, making your Defender’s rear look like nothing’s missing. Should you need your spare wheel re-installed for longer trips, removing the covers is a matter of minutes. Furthermore, if you wish to paint the covers in your vehicle’s color, it is a perfectly simple job for both paint professionals and DIY enthusiast. The black powder coating serves as a perfect primer layer. Cargo net for the classic Defender The roof lining is the least utilised area in the interior of a car. Yet it's a great place to pack away light and flat items in particular - if you have one of our ingeniously practical cargo nets installed.The 102 x 76 cm net for the old Defender (up to 2016) can be stretched in different ways depending on the vehicle size or configuration. In the 110, for example, this means at the very rear above the load compartment or the third row of seats, or in the centre. As the net is always accessible from the front and rear, this practical storage space extension can even be accessed quickly from the driver or front passenger seat in hardtops, camper conversions and other two-seaters.Tightening the flexible cargo mesh in the roof liner is extremely easy with 14 straps and belt clamps. This is where the impeccably modern cockpit by design director Gerry McGovern and colleagues pays homage to the interior of the classic Defender, the original Landy. Good for us, because we immediately spotted an opportunity to improve storage capabilities: with our nifty dashboard bag for the New Defender. The open dashboard shelf is where you put all the odds and ends in your car. It was like that in the old Landy, it will probably be the same in the new one. But once you’re testing the L663’s tilt angle or maximum gradient, our new dashboard bag, made from easy-to-clean, robust nylon, will keep your stuff from actually flying around. Installing the bag firmly in the dash takes only a few minutes. The zipper has two sliders so that the bag can be opened and shut from both sides. Everything you need is included: cleaning cloth, adhesion promoter wipe, squeegee and detailed instructions. If you’ve never done this before: don’t worry. The protective wrap can be positioned exactly as you need it, but if you have to readjust the position a few millimeters that’s no problem either. Simply slide the film into place. It only starts to adhere once you apply pressure with the squeegee. Universal storage space set for the spare wheel The high school of storage space optimization really only begins when all the obvious places like the interior or trunk or the roof have long since ceased to offer anything. With our practical and universally applicable spare wheel tray, even the fifth wheel on the car becomes an equipment carrier. The practical storage solution for the spare wheel at the rear consists of two components that can be ordered individually (here in the store) or as a set. The base carrier with the tensioning strap is adjustable and thus fits all common off-road tire sizes. If one mounts only the basic carrier (sideways), so e.g. starting aids, wheel chocks and other accessories can be screwed to the carrier or attached with straps. If you want to mount the tray, i.e. the basket, the base carrier must be on top of the wheel. The loading area of the storage basket is a generous 80cm x 38cm, so that even larger equipment can find its place here. If this area is not enough, you can also turn the platform around and attach with the edge down. Raised edges and circumferential lashing holes ensure problem-free load security. CargoBear storage rack for Land Rover New Defender L663 The more space you have, the greater the temptation to simply deposit your gear all over the place. With a cargo giant like the new Defender 110 (from MY2020), this will inevitably lead to chaos. That's why we’re putting a bear in the cargo area, a small CargoBear. This additional shelf with its generous dimensions of about 860 x 525 mm takes a load of about 50 kg and is intended for heavier equipment, tools etc. As with the CargoBear roof rack, the cargo shelf is made of robust, powder-coated and perforated aluminum. CargoBear - Awning holder for New Defender One of the best moments when car camping or at 4x4 meetings is unfolding the roof awning. It means you've arrived and the cozy part is about to begin. Once the awning is up, you can lounge in your camping chair, put your feet up and plan your next activities over a coffee or a cool drink. And since the CargoBear is also available for the New Defender, there is also the option of attaching numerous awnings and awnings.
