The heart of the mobile parking heater is the Autoterm Luft 2D, a diesel-powered air heater with a maximum heat output of 1.8 kW and a diesel consumption of just under a quarter of a liter per hour at full power. With a tank capacity of 18 liters in the twin-tank version, this means that it can heat at full throttle for over 70 hours. The economical unit, which is also very quiet at 55 dB thanks to the exhaust silencer, is controlled by a digital control unit with timer in the version with two batteries and can also be switched on and off by radio remote control. If you are not dependent on the greater cold tolerance of AGM batteries, you should definitely consider the higher costs for LiFePo4 batteries and compatible charging technology. The weight and space savings, the long service life and the uncomplicated discharging and charging of the battery are strong arguments in favor of the investment. What's more, LiFePo4 technology is also extremely safe And a special note on aluminum: Although we take the utmost care during storage and shipping, as with all our products, aluminum boxes can always show minimal scratches, stains, dents or other surface features upon delivery. These are material-related and result from the specific properties of the light metal.  In contact with oxygen, aluminum forms a natural, corrosion-protecting patina and is also relatively soft compared to steel, which is three times heavier. This makes the material ideal for use in sheet metal, especially when weight and resistance are important. On the other hand, however, it also means that aluminum can never be completely free of patina or other marks, even on delivery: Small scratches, stains etc. therefore do not constitute grounds for complaint. Ultimately, aluminum boxes are intended to be robust objects of daily use. Like everything that is actively used, they develop an individual patina and every trace of use tells a story. So, have fun with it! Planar 2D Auxiliary Vehicle Heater We offer the Planar 2D auxiliary vehicle heater as a well-priced, powerful alternative to our Webasto auxiliary vehicle heater kits. With their compact size and a heater output of 1.8 kW, the Planar 2D is well-suited for fitting to smaller vehicles, vans, off-roaders, camper vans, boats or in confined spaces. It is ideal for 'typical' off-road vehicles like the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G oder Jeep Wrangler JK. The extensive fitting kit that is supplied with each heater make fitting easy. The Planar 2D can be easily controlled via its analogous control unit, with 8 settings available from 0,8 - 1,8 kW heat output. Blower control for Land Rover Defender Fan and heater in classic Defenders are notoriously poor in performance and reliability – especially in northern latitudes, where cold winters and rainy days regularly impair comfort and safety in the cockpit. While Land Rover upgraded to an improved fan heater for the Td4 (MY 2007), all previous models can easily be retrofitted with an electronic control system. In contrast to the old analog fan heater, the new electronic control system allows for continuous adjustments. This ensures more efficient operation and therefore better ventilation, heating and dehumidification in the interior. Heating your vehicle’s interior can be achieved much quicker, as is demisting or de-icing of the windows. Additionally, the electronic control is much less prone to wear than the old mechanical solution using sliders and resistors, which are susceptible to shocks and vibrations. The retrofit kit includes the electronic control, a stepless slider and all the assembly parts for the connections. Installation instructions are included.  

Hose bag for perfect storage If you’re travelling a lot with gear and equipment, whether it’s camping, expeditions or simply for your business or job, you just know how quickly things deteriorate when your stuff doesn’t have its proper place. That’s why our mobile Diesel heaters are so great. Everything you need in one box! With one exception, though: the WALUFLEX pipe for warm air transport from the heater is too big for that. But that doesn’t mean you have to pack the tubing in plastic bags or carry it as it is. Our textile workshop has now come up with a dedicated storage bag with carrying straps especially for the WALUFLEX pipe. Made from robust and easy-to-clean 1000D Nylon material, the pack bag stores and protects the warm air tube. Moreover, it also saves a lot of valuable pack space. Tubes of up to 3 m length can be secured in the bag with two separate straps. Zip it up, job done! By the way, we have also sewn a patch of MOLLE fleece onto the front of the bag. That’s where the Comfort Control remote for Autoterm/Planar Diesel air heaters 2D and 4D comes in. Completely redesigned and greatly improved when compared to its predecessor, the Comfort Control activates and deactivates your heater based on timer and/or thermostat settings. Choose from three timer modes for recurring heating intervals, a power mode for constant output, ventilation-only modes e.g. for reducing air humidity inside your camper and last but not least the new thermostat mode. The latter was added due to popular request and allows for setting and maintaining comfortable temperatures by individual degrees centigrade. No more nights in the camper when it’s constantly either too cold or too hot. The new design is also much more comfortable and ergonomic. The OLED display, the multifunctional, non-slip rotary dial as well as two push buttons make selecting and setting the desired functions really easy. Navigating the menus is intuitive and straightforward and basic functions can be accessed directly with a shortcut button. Despite a bigger display and more functions, the  Comfort Control is actually smaller in size than its predecessor. End piece for warm air hose WALUFLEX Our 60 mm Flexi pipes for parking heaters are the perfect solution for transporting warmth and cosiness from A to B, whereby B can be one of our roof tents, a cold mountain hut or whatever else needs to be heated off-grid. The warm air pipes can be cut to any length and to ensure that the pipe ends are cleanly sealed or can be easily and airtightly extended, we have a silicone adapter for easy ratcheting. The adapter is the icing on the cake for our hot air ducts. It might work without, but it's definitely better with. For one thing, it is safer for people, equipment or cars because the edges, fringes and wire ends of the cut pipe disappear under the silicone cover and therefore have no chance of scratching, pricking or tearing. It is also very practical: one end of the silicone adapter is semi-permanently attached to the cut-off pipe with one of the cable ties supplied. The other end of the adapter can then be tightened to a connection or extension as required using the ratchet clamp (ideal for our parking heaters). Without the ratchet, the silicone adapter, which only makes the pipe 5 mm thicker, is a perfect and aesthetically pleasing end sleeve. After all, the eye camps with you and who wants to look at fraying pipe ends.

This means that the heater automatically reduces the injection volume according to the ambient air pressure. This reduces or prevents sooting of the combustion chamber when the air oxygen content falls. The maximum heat output decreases in proportion to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly speaking, from 2000 meters upwards, the loss of output per 500m altitude is approx. 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3440m were problem-free. No problems are to be expected up to 4000m. Up to 5000m the software calculates itself - but this could not yet be tested at real altitude.
