At Nakatanenga, we took our time to finetune the CargoBear for every design detail, technical specification and user requirement the Defender L663 (from MY 2020) challenged us with. At its full length of 2.41 m, our rack consists of 3 crossbars, two platform elements as well as front and rear modules. The overall width of 1.20 m gives you almost 3 square meters of fully usable cargo space. The entire surface can be loaded and walked upon – a decisive advantage over many competing products. The CargoBear is screwed into the original mounting points of the roof rails which have to be removed, of course. Another great advantage over the competition is the fact that you can configure the CargoBear rack in two heights: At 100 mm, the glass roof – if you have one –remains fully functional. If your Defender doesn’t have a glass roof or if you prefer a lower, more streamlined profile, the rack can be mounted at only 80mm above the roof. Whether you’re choosing the high or low mount, aerodynamics was always our main concern in the CargoBear’s development. There are no legally required speed limits when driving with the rack, but we recommend a top speed of 160 km/h when empty and 130 km/h when loaded. For the overall load capacity please refer to your owner’s manual and the specific version or configuration of your vehicle. The roof rack’s weight of up to 50 kg has to be deducted from the dynamic load capacity. The new Defender’s overall look is perfectly complimented by the matte black powder coating of both aluminum and stainless steel elements. While the V-shaped rear module accommodates the antenna and the rear view camera and guarantees full functionality, the front element is specifically designed to easily integrate an Osram VX1000-CB or other light bars. Overhauled manual gearbox R380 for Defender TD5 and MT82 for Defender TD4   The R380 manual gearbox, which was installed in 4 revisions from 1998 to 2006 in the 300Tdi and Td5, among others, owes its name to the 380Nm input force for which the gearbox was originally designed. After initial teething troubles in conjunction with the LT230T transfer case and corresponding improvements, the reliable R380 was only replaced when European environmental regulations made it necessary to switch to the Td4 engine with its six-speed gearbox. We offer top-quality reconditioned R380 / MT82 replacement gearboxes for Td5 and Td4. For this item, we charge an additional deposit of 500.00 euros for your current manual gearbox. Winchester Gears Stage LT230   Winchester Gears Stage LT230 are improved versions of the standard Defender and Discovery transfer cases. Common sources of failure have been carefully analysed and effective solutions implemented.   Sleeved main housing The bore of the intermediate shaft, which is prone to wear and oil leaks, is machined and fitted with a steel sleeve. In addition, the frequently damaged bearing bore of the main shaft was taken care of by fitting a cylindrical sleeve.   Intermediate shaft The intermediate shafts that hold the gear in place often wear out, leading to gear noise and, in later 1.21 gear sets, total gear failure. the high performance shafts fitted are made from 17.4ph material to ensure a long service life.   High capacity oil pan Available as an optional extra, this oil pan increases oil capacity by 0.6 litres and helps keep the transfer case cool and well lubricated.   Centre differential   Stage 1 : Features a heavy-duty one-piece cross shaft that replaces the weaker two-piece design, a common weak point. Stage 2 : Incorporates an Ashcroft ATB Limited Slip Diff, a spiral design that optimises torque and drive distribution between the front and rear axles. This provides improved traction and eliminates the weakness of the standard unlocked centre differential, ideal for racing on low traction surfaces.   For this item, we charge an additional deposit of 300.00 euros for your current transfer case. If you send us your old transfer case, we will refund you the amount of 300.00 euros. Repair panel rear sump for Defender 110 Td4, Td5 and TDI Rust thrives best when it is hidden, especially when corners, angles or edges favour the constant accumulation of water and damp dirt. This is why Defender 110 Station Wagons often have hidden rust spots under the rear seat bench mount or on the frame holder. To avoid having to replace the entire base plate of the rear tub in the event of advanced contact corrosion, we now offer an exclusive, easy-to-fit repair kit for the particularly susceptible area under the seat bench. The kit consists of the main plate, two side parts and sufficient rivets. For installation (see pictures), the existing welding points on the rear tub are first drilled out. The sheet metal is then simply positioned accordingly, glued in place with body sealant and fixed at the sides with clamps. Once dry, drill the sheet metal at the pre-drilled welding points and insert the rivets. The two side panels are then attached in the same way. Seat cover for Land Rover New Defender 110/130, driver and passenger side This isn’t off-the-peg, this is made to measure! If you’re looking for seat covers for the New Defender – the front seats to be precise – look no further than our seat protectors made from durable, and easy-to-clean 1000D Nylon 6.6. The seat covers were developed by us in our own tailor's workshop  – guaranteeing highest functionality and best workmanship. To ensure maximum comfort and compatibility with the climate technologies in your seats, the covers feature breathable mesh fabric on the actual sitting surface. And even though it is mesh, it will still protect the seat from dirt and moisture. To achieve a perfect fit, the one-piece cover is tightly tailored and does not require zippers or similar. Simply pull it over the seat, Velcro the top part underneath the headrest and close the sturdy straps and buckles on the underside. Additionally, a mesh pocket with a rubber foam piece inside is wedged into the gap between backrest and seat surface to prevent the cover from sliding. On the sides, openings in the cover allow easy access to the headrest controls. As with all our textile products, we always aim to add additional storage space. Generously sized MOLLE patches on the sides as well as large pockets in the rear of the backrest and the front rail of the seat make it very easy to store everyday items and small pieces of equipment temporarily or permanently. And if you already have a tailor's workshop in house, then it is easy to also accept customer change requests, special designs, suggestions and proposals for improvement at short notice and to implement them as far as possible. Mail or phone call is all it takes! And by the way: At Nakatanenga we only use materials with 100% nylon PU coating for all textile articles. Unlike PVC, nylon PU (polyurethane) is free of harmful phthalate-based plasticisers. Until recently, low-molecular phthalates were the most common plasticisers for plastics of all kinds and are even used in food and cosmetics. However, they accumulate in the environment and are suspected of acting like endogenous hormones due to their molecular nature. This is highly questionable from a toxicological point of view and is considered to be a trigger for various diseases, including cancer. For Nakatanenga, it is therefore a matter of course to use only ecologically and health-safe alternatives such as nylon PU for the coating of textile products.
