In addition, the frequently damaged bearing bore of the main shaft was taken care of by fitting a cylindrical sleeve.   Intermediate shaft The intermediate shafts that hold the gear in place often wear out, leading to gear noise and, in later 1.21 gear sets, total gear failure. the high performance shafts fitted are made from 17.4ph material to ensure a long service life.   High capacity oil pan Available as an optional extra, this oil pan increases oil capacity by 0.6 litres and helps keep the transfer case cool and well lubricated.   Centre differential   Stage 1 : Features a heavy-duty one-piece cross shaft that replaces the weaker two-piece design, a common weak point. Stage 2 : Incorporates an Ashcroft ATB Limited Slip Diff, a spiral design that optimises torque and drive distribution between the front and rear axles. Description: Series 2A & 3, 11" front brake kit (4 cylinder to 83) from LOF Brakes.2 important things have been corrected in the kit:Drum runout accuracy - LOF has managed to produce the 11" drums to a maximum tolerance of 40 microns runout and 50 microns out of roundness, which is tighter than any other brake drum manufacturer.The shape and precision of the brake shoes are matched to the drums and the brake compound is designed to prevent squeaking and juddering! All vehicle owners will know what is meant! They have also fitted the brake shoes with a solid, correctly shaped post rivet to hold the spring in place. You will know that cheaper brands have a straight cut rivet that tends to fall out!
