Operation remains deliberately simple and intuitive: the heater can be adjusted quickly and easily using the rotary knob. AUTOTERM Air 4D (Planar 44D) parking heater As a low-priced and powerful alternative to our complete Webasto parking heater kits, we offer the AUTOTERM 4D (formerly Planar 44D) parking heater. The particularly compact dimensions and its heating power of 4 kW allow installation even in small cars, vans off-roaders motor homes, construction machines, boats or under difficult installation situations. The extensive range of accessories supplied simplifies installation. The parking heater has an approval for the European market (ECE mark) and can therefore be installed without registration. The hole pattern here corresponds to the familiar heaters of Eberspächer Airtronic and Webasto AirTop 2000, so that here can be easily replaced without having to drill new holes in the body.All AUTOTERM parking heaters are characterized above all by their durability and reliability with economical consumption. The AUTOTERM Luft 2D (Planar 2D) is equipped with a height kit!This means that the heater independently reduces the injection quantity according to the ambient air pressure. This reduces or prevents sooting of the combustion chamber when the air oxygen content drops. The maximum heating power decreases proportionally to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly one can say: From 2,000 meters the loss of power per 500m altitude is about 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3.440 m were without problems. Up to 4,000 m, no difficulties are to be expected. Up to 5,000 m the software calculates itself - but this could not be tested in real altitude yet. Please note: Use this 4 kW heater only if this size is really erforgerlich! It is expressly not recommended to permanently turn down the heating. In case of less demand the AUTOTERM Luft 2D (former Planar 2D parking heater) is recommended. If the larger heater is used on a long-term basis on a lower load, the combustion chambers will quickly become sooty - which will cause the heater to fail. AUTOTERM air 2D (Planar 2D) parking heater, space-saving design (90° angle) Proven heating technology for campers, off-roaders, boats and more.   Formerly known as the Planar 2D, the Autoterm Air 2D is one of the most popular diesel parking heaters for campers, motorhomes, boats and expedition vehicles. Robust, reliable and safe - with extremely low fuel and power consumption - it is perfect for anyone who needs reliable heat on the road.   Manufactured in Latvia, it is completely “Made in Europe”.   High quality, high flexibility and perfect for DIY installation. Thanks to its compact design and various operating elements, the Autoterm Air 2D is suitable for almost any touring vehicle - from panel vans to expedition trucks. It can also be used on the water.   Thanks to the E-mark, it can be installed without registration - without TÜV approval and without loss of warranty if you install it yourself.  It is available for 12V for most campers and vans. The heater is available with two different hot air outlets for different space conditions and installation situations. 1. with straight outlet (can be found here): Please note that the warm air must be directed away from the heater in as straight a line as possible. The hot air pipe should ideally only make slight bends and must not make a 90° angle or similar bends directly behind the heater. Otherwise, heat will build up in the heater, causing it to switch off for safety reasons.   2. with 90° angle: Here, the hot air is discharged from the heater at a specially flow-optimized 90° angle. The outlet can be installed facing upwards or to the side. When installing this version in particular, it is important to realize straight piping from the heating outlet. The maximum pipe length must not exceed 3-4m.Important: Even if the heaters are completely identical: If you use the straight version of the warm air pipe to create an angled outlet as with the space-saving housing, your heater will overheat. Therefore, please plan your installation with regard to the routing of the hot air pipe before ordering so that you know immediately whether the straight or the angled outlet is more suitable for your installation! High-altitude kit as standard - ready for any adventure Whether in Nepal or the Andes: The Air 2D is equipped with an altitude kit that automatically adjusts the combustion to the change in air pressure. This means it runs reliably even at high altitudes. Nevertheless important: At very high altitudes, the amount of oxygen decreases - and with it the maximum output of the heater. As a rule of thumb: from an altitude of approx. 2000 m, the heater loses approx. 5 % output per 500 meters of altitude. And: the higher the altitude, the more sensitive the heater is to resistance in the air flow. Therefore, especially for operation at high altitudes, use the shortest and simplest possible air ducting and above all avoid angles and kinks! You can also simply remove the pipework completely for this time. Maintenance: Don't forget to burn off Like any diesel engine, a diesel parking heater needs to reach a certain temperature from time to time to get rid of deposits. Therefore, when you leave the mountains, let it run at full load for an hour. The same applies if it is permanently operated at a low level. This is comparable to a proper highway trip to maintain a diesel car. Control and operating elements A control panel is included with the heater (simply select the appropriate one above). Radio remote control for AUTOTERM parking heaters With the included module and the certified radio remote control, you can control AUTOTERM Luft 2D and 4D (= Planar 2D12, Planar 44D12) parking heaters with 4 cables and AUTOTERM Flow 14S (=14TC-Mini) diesel pre-heaters by radio remote control. Think ahead and start the parking heater before you start your journey! Do you hate freezing while driving and are annoyed that it is only warm once you have arrived at your destination? Then these remote controls are perfect for you! With the included module and the radio transmitters, you can control 12-volt AUTOTERM parking heaters, parking heaters with 4 cables and AUTOTERM Flow 14D (formerly 14TC-Mini) diesel pre-heaters by radio remote control! The scope of delivery includes 2 transmitters and, of course, the module for connection to the parking heater.
