Additional Interior Light for Land Rover NEW DEFENDER  The new Defender is being marketed as a true workhorse, but – as always – there’s room for improvement when it comes to the practicalities of working with your L663 on a day-to-day basis. One such aspect is definitely the lighting for the load space in the back. The standard set-up is somewhat sparse but most of all it lacks proper roof lights. This is especially problematic since the cargo area is often filled up or modified by installed racks, boxes and the like. Our LED light bar solves this problem with more than sufficient 396 Lumens light intensity. The lightbar is easily installed on the trim above the cargo door and illuminates the entire load space – helping you to quickly find tools and equipment and ensuring safe working conditions day or night. Mounting the roughly 36 cm long and 2 cm wide LED lightbar is really easy. Simply click the two fastening clips into the edge of the upper door trim. The clips’ custom-shape will hold the lightbar firmly in position. Connecting the device to the Defender’s wiring is just as quick by simply pushing the LED bar’s wire behind the trim and pulling it along the D-pillar towards the standard lamp housing by the fuse box. In most cases, you won’t even have to remove the trim panels. At Nakatanenga, we took our time to finetune the CargoBear for every design detail, technical specification and user requirement the Defender L663 (from MY 2020) challenged us with. At its full length of 2.41 m, our rack consists of 3 crossbars, two platform elements as well as front and rear modules. The overall width of 1.20 m gives you almost 3 square meters of fully usable cargo space. The entire surface can be loaded and walked upon – a decisive advantage over many competing products. The CargoBear is screwed into the original mounting points of the roof rails which have to be removed, of course. Another great advantage over the competition is the fact that you can configure the CargoBear rack in two heights: At 100 mm, the glass roof – if you have one –remains fully functional. GDW hitch bracket with 13-pin Erich Jaeger E set The New Defender L663 (from MY 2019) is not only an extraordinary off-road vehicle, it also packs a remarkable punch. The wide variety of engines from Diesel and petrol to PHEV deliver between 200 and 525 HP and 400 to 650 Nm torque. Its power makes the new Landy the ultimate towing vehicle up to 3.5t towing capacity. And the fact, that the trailer hitch –  whether detachable or electrically deployable –  has to be ordered as an extra, is not really a disadvantage. When configuring your New Defender it’s probably best to skip this feature and get a heavy duty towbar like the one from GDW with its 13-pin electric connector kit by Erich Jaeger. The advantages of the GDW trailer hitch are obvious: A 4-bolt mounting plate will fit the included towball hitch but also any other type of coupling, the GDW coupling block comes at a much more competitive price than the OEM parts. Installation and road use do not need to be technically certified, by the way. The GDW towbar was custom-designed specifically for the New Defender. It comes with detailed assembly instructions and a complete electrics kit. Installing the towbar will take approximately 3 hours. Please note:The GDW towbar may interfere with the sensors of the vehicle’s parking aid. If you rely on this system, you should use the original tow bar. If you’re looking for seat covers for the New Defender – the front seats to be precise – look no further than our seat protectors made from durable, and easy-to-clean 1000D Nylon 6.6. The seat covers were developed by us in our own tailor's workshop  – guaranteeing highest functionality and best workmanship. To ensure maximum comfort and compatibility with the climate technologies in your seats, the covers feature breathable mesh fabric on the actual sitting surface. And even though it is mesh, it will still protect the seat from dirt and moisture. To achieve a perfect fit, the one-piece cover is tightly tailored and does not require zippers or similar. Simply pull it over the seat, Velcro the top part underneath the headrest and close the sturdy straps and buckles on the underside. Additionally, a mesh pocket with a rubber foam piece inside is wedged into the gap between backrest and seat surface to prevent the cover from sliding. On the sides, openings in the cover allow easy access to the headrest controls. As with all our textile products, we always aim to add additional storage space. Door net for New Defender from MY2020 Modern car doors are primarily optimized for lateral impact protection. Small wonder that even large vehicles like the New Defender offer relatively little storage space in the door paneling. With our new storage nets for driver and passenger door of the New Landy you can pretty much double the available space of your door pockets - for all the things you want to keep within reach, in summer and winter. The elastic mesh material also ensures that you’re using only the space you actually need. And when you take your New Defender off-roading, the nets also make sure that everything you keep in the door pockets will actually stay there. The nets are simply screwed into the door panels using the fastening materials included in the delivery. The door nets come in the colors black, gray and coyote and are sold in pairs for driver and passenger door.

This is where the impeccably modern cockpit by design director Gerry McGovern and colleagues pays homage to the interior of the classic Defender, the original Landy. Good for us, because we immediately spotted an opportunity to improve storage capabilities: with our nifty dashboard bag for the New Defender. The open dashboard shelf is where you put all the odds and ends in your car. It was like that in the old Landy, it will probably be the same in the new one. But once you’re testing the L663’s tilt angle or maximum gradient, our new dashboard bag, made from easy-to-clean, robust nylon, will keep your stuff from actually flying around. Installing the bag firmly in the dash takes only a few minutes. The zipper has two sliders so that the bag can be opened and shut from both sides. Since the New Landy sports a designer cockpit, we used transparent plastic material on top of the bag. This allows for the ambient LEDs in the dashboard and the day light from the opening above to filter through into the bag’s interior. The dashboard bag comes in New Landy compatible colors black, gray and coyote. Installation does NOT require drilling, glueing or other damaging methods. It is completely reversible. Switch panel for New Defender from year of manufacture 2020These switch panels have been designed to fit into the dashboard and accommodate 2 switches. The base comes with two switches and is made from durable ABS plastic that is easy to attach with the double-sided tape provided.
