Hardly any cooking dish is better suited for camping and outdoor life than a good iron frying pan. You can use it to cook almost anything - even directly in your camp fire’s embers if necessary. And all you need to do afterwards is to wipe it with a damp cloth. Unlike coated composite metal pans, the all-iron variety is virtually indestructible, isn’t detrimental to your health and it’s definitely highly sustainable – in fact, it has been for thousands of years. Connoisseurs also swear by the very unique frying properties, especially when it comes to the taste of a steak made in a patinated iron pan.
Our Nakatanenga iron skillets come in two sizes, with diameters of 26.5 and 21 cm respectively. They feature a folding handle that makes it possible to store in their sturdy and easy-to-clean nylon PU-coated bags. In terms of weight, with 580 and 396 g in total (including bag), the pans are also ideal for backpackers.

Our Nakatanenga Bear loves to scrub up and keeps everything neat, tidy and protected. That’s why we are introducing our own hanging wash bag with the bear logo on it, for travel, outdoor and camping. Everything else out there hasn’t really done it for us, so we made some key improvements to the most important details and put them all in one cool roll!
Advantage #1 for our Nakatanenga toiletry bag: lots of mesh! We’re using great amounts of mesh material especially in the interior zip bag area, so that the wash roll can dry off quickly after you’ve been to a tiny wet room. If your shampoo or deodorant has leaked again, you can quickly rinse the mesh in a sink or basin. The wash bags exterior is Nylon PU-coated and therefore extremely robust, easy to clean and water resistant.
Advantage #2: our firm G-hook! Even brand wash bags often sport these cheap round hooks that come off with the slightest movement or push. As a result, your personal hygiene items are too often scattered on less than appealing bathroom floors. Our G-hook closes the rolled-up wash bag tightly and you can also use it to hang the bag securely in windy or cramped places. We also enclose a hooked suction cup to firmly fix the bag to smooth surfaces like tiles or glass.
Advantage #3: Roll it up! Roll beats bag, anytime, even when it comes to wash bags. Rolling up your gear minimizes the required storage space and holds everything tightly in place, thereby preventing damage to the bag or your hygiene articles by pointy or sharp objects within. When containers are firmly held together, they are also less likely to accidentally open up and spill the contents. There are two additional loops inside to hold your razor, toothbrush or similar. A water-resistant pocket keeps moisture sensitive items like band aids or medication dry and clean.
Advantage #4: Velcro! Your mirror is kept in place by a Velcro patch. If you need to clean the mirror or use it in your hand, it’s easily taken off the bag. A second Velcro patch on the outside can be used for personalizing your wash roll. Just get one of our handy ID patches and write your name on it. No more accidental grabbing of someone else’s stuff.

Exaggeration? Definitely not! It is a physiological fact that cold, wet or snowy conditions affect your hands and feet first. Once your feet are wet and unable to dry, unhealthy or even dangerous effects pile up: loss of body heat, skin and tissue damage can ensue. That's why you quickly catch a cold from having wet feet, even when the rest of your body stays dry. In extreme cold, that's why your toes will freeze first. In great heat on the other hand, it is cooling from condensation you're looking for. Again, breathability is key.
And that's why we are now offering our own high performance Nakatanenga 63 % Merino-wool socks, with an intelligent blend of synthetic fiber. These mid-length socks in gray-coyote sport ergonomic padding and are meant for everyday activities. Whether outdoors or on the job, they are perfect inside hiking or work boots. Merino is a very light natural high performance fiber made by Mother Nature. It is very comfortable to wear, insulates well and achieves superior ventilation and moisture transport. No wonder Merino has become a benchmark for functional underwear and wicking layers. The idea behind our flexible DABUCKET all-purpose bucket is very simple. You can simply put dirt in your own packsack, the plastic bag or in the trash bag as a liner in the open DABUCKET, pull the closure tunnel up and pack it away safely. That is why we have designed the two variants DABUCKET to the size of standard garbage bags: with a height of 30 cm and bottom diameter 28 cm for a 25-liter bag and 45 cm to 36 cm for the 50 liters.

Whether it’s camping, backpacking or just a short weekend trip to the lake, when it comes to luggage, there’s one simple rule: Take only as much as necessary and always as little as possible! Since microfiber towels were introduced, “as little as possible” has become a lot less, fortunately. Gone are the days when you had to stuff bulky cotton towels into your bags, often heavy with moisture.
Our towel sets include a lightweight mesh bag and a choice of one or two hand towels or a larger bath towel. Made from 100 % polyester microfiber, they are your perfect travel companion. At 320g/m2, our choice of fabric is slightly heavier than your standard synthetic outdoor towel. But the thicker material was chosen for a reason: it’s much softer, more absorbent and offers a lot more comfort on your skin. The sizes are really generous, too, with 50 x 90 cm for the smaller and 70 x 130 cm for the larger towel. It’s the perfect sweet spot between packing size and a great sense of well-being and comfort.
The thicker material will air dry as quickly as you expect it to – even inside the mesh bag. Made from a polyester nylon combination and washable at 60° C, the 27 x 12 cm bag provides not only a small pack size but also guarantees great aeration, drying damp towels even when stored away.
