LED main headlights with E-mark, 5.75’ diameter (146mm), with low beam, high beam and position light
The arguments in favour of LED headlights are convincing:
Robustness - LEDs, unlike halogen or xenon headlights, are insensitive to strong vibrations and impacts, which are part of everyday life when used on off-roaders or machines - their benefits: No more replacing ‘bulbs’ - the LEDs have an expected service life of 50,000 hours. This corresponds to a service life of over 17 years, assuming 8 hours of operation per day.
low power consumption - regular headlights require 55 watts per headlight for low beam, 60 watts for high beam, and often even 100 watt bulbs are used. Not only is this not authorised, it also overloads the standard wiring and light switches. LED headlights, on the other hand, only require 35 watts (at 14 V voltage supplied by an alternator) per headlight.
Higher efficiency - LED headlights not only require less power than halogen headlights, they also provide more light.
higher quality of light - the spectral distribution of the light emitted by LED headlights is more similar to sunlight than other light sources - it is perceived by the human eye as less tiring. This reduces J.W.Speaker 8630 - LED headlamp fatigue and the resulting risks during long journeys in the dark.
more environmentally friendly - conventional halogen or xenon light sources produce large quantities of environmental toxins such as mercury, lead or sodium during their manufacture. This does not occur in the production of LED headlights - and they can also be fully recycled.
Reduced downtimes - especially in fleet or commercial use, ‘time is money’ - if a vehicle or machine is at a standstill, the costs or loss of earnings are many times higher than the material value of the components to be replaced. This is where a maintenance-free LED headlight quickly pays for itself.
Less interference radiation - xenon headlights in particular, with their high-voltage components, cause large amounts of electromagnetic interference (EMI). As vehicle systems become increasingly complex, this can lead to faults that can result in lengthy troubleshooting and downtime. These do not occur with LEDs - and why should you voluntarily expose yourself to unnecessary ‘electro-smog’? The low interference radiation is documented by compliance with the strict
