Mobile parking heater with aluminum box, various versions Make way, here comes the second generation of our mobile parking heaters in a box! We have packed even more technology, even more experience and even more customer feedback into our new mobile heating boxes. If you are looking for a small, self-sufficient and portable heat source with unrivaled capacity for cold days and nights in unheated outdoor shelters or temporary accommodation, you get everything you need (or want) in a small, weatherproof aluminum box. Available in three modular versions with different configurations, the Nakatanenga heating box provides the perfect, independent heat source for tents, gazebos, garden sheds, mountain huts, snack stands, stalls and much more. The heart of the mobile parking heater is the Autoterm Luft 2D, a diesel-powered air heater with a maximum heat output of 1.8 kW and a diesel consumption of just under a quarter of a liter per hour at full power. With a tank capacity of 18 liters in the twin-tank version, this means that it can heat at full throttle for over 70 hours. The economical unit, which is also very quiet at 55 dB thanks to the exhaust silencer, is controlled by a digital control unit with timer in the version with two batteries and can also be switched on and off by radio remote control. This allows you to preheat your camper, roof tent, caravan or hunting lodge in good time for getting up or for the evening, for example, and operate it from the place where you are staying or sleeping inside*. In contrast to the previous models, the five versions of our mobile parking heater are now only available in one box size, namely 42 liters. This is significantly more compact than the old version in the large version and only slightly more voluminous than the small model from before. What is the advantage? The new universal crate has a modular interior with a powerful performance. Depending on whether you need tanks, batteries or both in the box, you can choose the appropriate version when purchasing: with 9.2 L single or 18.4 L double tank, each without battery, as well as with single tank, two batteries and digital control. However, it can also be easily retrofitted or converted if requirements change. This is made possible by elaborately designed brackets in the box and the use of specially manufactured, made-to-measure tanks. Features of heating box 1 and 2 (without battery) - Heating unit 1 with 1 x 9.2-litre diesel tank - Heating unit 2 with 2 x 9.2 = 18.4-litre diesel tank - USB interface for charging smartphone, power bank, tablet, etc.- Capacity display- PU5 control panel (without timer and storage options)- 12 V connection socket for supplied pole terminal cable- Alternatively, a cable for cigarette lighter (KMSH cable) can be used- 2 radio remote controls- Connection option for external temperature sensor (the connection is inside the box, not outside)” Features of heater box 3 (with 2 AGM batteries) - 2 x 33 Ah 12-volt AGM batteries, leak-proof and maintenance-free - 9.2-litre diesel tank - USB interface for charging smartphone, power bank, tablet, etc.- Capacity display- Comfort Control control panel (with timer and memory option)- SAE connection socket (suitable for Optimate chargers or Optimate solar charger)- 2 radio remote controls- Connection option for external temperature sensor (the connection is inside the box, not outside) Features of heating box 4 (with 1 LiFePo battery) - 1x 35 Ah 12-volt LiFePO4 lithium service battery, suitable for long-term storage and extremely temperature-stable - 9.2-litre diesel tank - USB interface for charging smartphone, power bank, tablet etc.- Capacity display- Comfort Control control panel (with timer and memory option)- SAE connection socket (suitable for Optimate chargers or Optimate solar charger)- 2 radio remote controls- Connection option for external temperature sensor (the connection is inside the box, not outside)-> Please only use LiFePo-compatible chargers Features of heating box 5 (with 2 LiFePo batteries) - 2x 35 Ah 12-volt LiFePO4 lithium service batteries, suitable for long-term storage and extremely temperature-stable - 9.2-litre diesel tank - USB interface for charging smartphone, power bank, tablet, etc.- Capacity display- Comfort Control control panel (with timer and memory option)- SAE connection socket (suitable for Optimate chargers or Optimate solar charger)- 2 radio remote controls- Connection option for external temperature sensor (the connection is inside the box, not outside)”-> please only use LiFePo-compatible chargers The warm air is transported via a firmly screw-fastened, waterproof Flexi hose. As the warm air hose is different for every user and every requirement, we do not include a standard length, but leave it up to you to order the desired length separately here in the store, with or without a silicone sleeve. You can find the perfect storage bag for the Flexi hose here in the store. Regardless of the configuration, the mobile parking heaters are always easy to transport and make the difference between experiencing and suffering in the cold seasons. Whether it's an aurora safari, selling cookies at the Christmas market or winter camping in a roof tent, nothing is really fun if you freeze to death. *ATTENTION: As a precaution, we would like to point out that operation in closed rooms is not permitted due to the risk of poisoning from exhaust fumes. In addition, for optimum heating performance, make sure that the air inlets for combustion and hot air are positioned so that they are protected from the weather. Dimensions Internal dimensions 550x350x220 mm External dimensions 580x380x240 mm Unladen weight: Heating unit 1, without battery and with 1 tank: 16 kg Heating unit 2, without battery and with 2 tanks: 18 kg Heating unit 3, with 2 AGM batteries and 1 tank: 45 kg Heating unit 4, with 1 LiFePo battery and 1 tank: 19 kg Heating box 5, with 2 LiFePo batteries and 1 tank: 24 kg Depending on how many starts are made, the battery lasts at least 40 h, but more likely between 60 and 70 h. LiFePo4 batteries - i.e. batteries with a lithium iron phosphate cathode - are the ideal supply batteries for camping or electrical work on the move. In contrast to conventional lead-acid AGM technology, lithium batteries combine superior charging properties with much lower weight and volume and a long service life. LiFePo4 batteries can be deep-discharged without any problems, which sooner or later leads to irreparable damage with AGM batteries, as the rule of thumb here is that you should never draw more than 50% charge. If you are not dependent on the greater cold tolerance of AGM batteries, you should definitely consider the higher costs for LiFePo4 batteries and compatible charging technology. The weight and space savings, the long service life and the uncomplicated discharging and charging of the battery are strong arguments in favor of the investment. What's more, LiFePo4 technology is also extremely safe And a special note on aluminum: Although we take the utmost care during storage and shipping, as with all our products, aluminum boxes can always show minimal scratches, stains, dents or other surface features upon delivery. These are material-related and result from the specific properties of the light metal. In contact with oxygen, aluminum forms a natural, corrosion-protecting patina and is also relatively soft compared to steel, which is three times heavier. This makes the material ideal for use in sheet metal, especially when weight and resistance are important. On the other hand, however, it also means that aluminum can never be completely free of patina or other marks, even on delivery: Small scratches, stains etc. therefore do not constitute grounds for complaint. Ultimately, aluminum boxes are intended to be robust objects of daily use. Like everything that is actively used, they develop an individual patina and every trace of use tells a story. So, have fun with it! If you want to heat the interior of your vehicle, we offer an installation service for warm air ducting through a ventilation plate. Please note the variants without batteries: Most portable power stations or battery boxes (such as Goal Zero, Eco Flow, Bluetti etc.) are unfortunately not suitable for operating mobile parking heaters. The heater requires up to 15A as starting current and when shutting down, but very few battery boxes can provide this. Suitable battery boxes for operating the mobile parking heater Please note the legal information on batteries HERE. For certain types of batteries, we are legally obliged to charge a deposit. Therefore, the reliable control element with rotary control is now the new improved standard of Planar parking heaters! With the rotary control you can adjust the heating power of the parking heater and regulate the power of the ventilation in the ventilation mode! The PU-5 control element with rotary control can also be purchased separately here.- The digital control element Comfort Control with timer has an OLED display and an understandable and clear interface. Temperature, ventilation and power can be configured via the display and the various buttons. With the new timer, you simply set the start of the parking heater to a specific time. The organic light-emitting diodes of the display ensure a particularly high contrast and low power consumption. The digital control element with timer can also be purchased separately here.Setting options (Comfort Control): Temperature and power (adjustable for the parking heater, the control panel and for an external heater) Time and date Operating language (English or Russian) Functions of the timer (Comfort Control): Memory function: save time so that the parking heater starts at this time every day Configurable memory locations: Up to 3 different days of the week with different times can be set and stored. The AUTOTERM Luft 2D (Planar 2D) is equipped with a height kit! This means that the heater independently reduces the injection quantity according to the ambient air pressure. This reduces or prevents sooting of the combustion chamber when the air oxygen content drops. The maximum heating power decreases proportionally to the amount of oxygen in the air. Roughly one can say: From 2,000 meters the loss of power per 500m altitude is about 5%. Manufacturer tests up to 3.440 m were without problems. Up to 4,000 m, no difficulties are to be expected. Up to 5,000 m the software calculates itself - but this could not be tested in real altitude yet. Please note: Use this 4 kW heater only if this size is really erforgerlich! It is expressly not recommended to permanently turn down the heating. In case of less demand the AUTOTERM Luft 2D (former Planar 2D parking heater) is recommended. If the larger heater is used on a long-term basis on a lower load, the combustion chambers will quickly become sooty - which will cause the heater to fail. To heat your roof tent using your auxiliary heating system, we offer an installation service for a warm air duct through a ventilation plate. https://www.autoterm.com/partners/trusted/nakatanenga-4x4-equipment

AUTOTERM air 2D (Planar 2D) parking heater, space-saving design (90° angle) Proven heating technology for campers, off-roaders, boats and more. Formerly known as the Planar 2D, the Autoterm Air 2D is one of the most popular diesel parking heaters for campers, motorhomes, boats and expedition vehicles. Robust, reliable and safe - with extremely low fuel and power consumption - it is perfect for anyone who needs reliable heat on the road. Manufactured in Latvia, it is completely “Made in Europe”. High quality, high flexibility and perfect for DIY installation. Thanks to its compact design and various operating elements, the Autoterm Air 2D is suitable for almost any touring vehicle - from panel vans to expedition trucks. It can also be used on the water. Thanks to the E-mark, it can be installed without registration - without TÜV approval and without loss of warranty if you install it yourself. It is available for 12V for most campers and vans. The heater is available with two different hot air outlets for different space conditions and installation situations. 1. with straight outlet (can be found here): Please note that the warm air must be directed away from the heater in as straight a line as possible. The hot air pipe should ideally only make slight bends and must not make a 90° angle or similar bends directly behind the heater. Otherwise, heat will build up in the heater, causing it to switch off for safety reasons. 2. with 90° angle: Here, the hot air is discharged from the heater at a specially flow-optimized 90° angle. The outlet can be installed facing upwards or to the side. When installing this version in particular, it is important to realize straight piping from the heating outlet. The maximum pipe length must not exceed 3-4m.Important: Even if the heaters are completely identical: If you use the straight version of the warm air pipe to create an angled outlet as with the space-saving housing, your heater will overheat. Therefore, please plan your installation with regard to the routing of the hot air pipe before ordering so that you know immediately whether the straight or the angled outlet is more suitable for your installation! High-altitude kit as standard - ready for any adventure Whether in Nepal or the Andes: The Air 2D is equipped with an altitude kit that automatically adjusts the combustion to the change in air pressure. This means it runs reliably even at high altitudes. Nevertheless important: At very high altitudes, the amount of oxygen decreases - and with it the maximum output of the heater. As a rule of thumb: from an altitude of approx. 2000 m, the heater loses approx. 5 % output per 500 meters of altitude. And: the higher the altitude, the more sensitive the heater is to resistance in the air flow. Therefore, especially for operation at high altitudes, use the shortest and simplest possible air ducting and above all avoid angles and kinks! You can also simply remove the pipework completely for this time. Maintenance: Don't forget to burn off Like any diesel engine, a diesel parking heater needs to reach a certain temperature from time to time to get rid of deposits. Therefore, when you leave the mountains, let it run at full load for an hour. The same applies if it is permanently operated at a low level. This is comparable to a proper highway trip to maintain a diesel car. Control and operating elements A control panel is included with the heater (simply select the appropriate one above). You have the choice between these models: Simple control panel Rotary control with power control, optional temperature mode with separate sensor. Comfort Control Panel Modern OLED display, menu navigation finally also in German, timer function, voltage display, thermostat mode, multifunctional rotary control - everything you need. Scope of delivery: Autoterm Air 2D heater Control element Extra quiet fuel pump incl. rubber holder Exhaust silencer (17 × 9 × 5 cm) Intake air hose with integrated silencer Cable harnesses for pump and heater Exhaust pipe (1 m metal), end piece + clamp Heat protection hose Fuel line (5.5 m), connector, tank intake pipe Assembly material (screws, nuts, clamps, heat-shrink tubing, cable ties) Operating instructions Attention: Sufficient length of fuel hose is included (simply cut into pieces if necessary). End piece for warm air hose WALUFLEX Our 60 mm Flexi pipes for parking heaters are the perfect solution for transporting warmth and cosiness from A to B, whereby B can be one of our roof tents, a cold mountain hut or whatever else needs to be heated off-grid. The warm air pipes can be cut to any length and to ensure that the pipe ends are cleanly sealed or can be easily and airtightly extended, we have a silicone adapter for easy ratcheting. The adapter is the icing on the cake for our hot air ducts. It might work without, but it's definitely better with. For one thing, it is safer for people, equipment or cars because the edges, fringes and wire ends of the cut pipe disappear under the silicone cover and therefore have no chance of scratching, pricking or tearing. It is also very practical: one end of the silicone adapter is semi-permanently attached to the cut-off pipe with one of the cable ties supplied. The other end of the adapter can then be tightened to a connection or extension as required using the ratchet clamp (ideal for our parking heaters). Without the ratchet, the silicone adapter, which only makes the pipe 5 mm thicker, is a perfect and aesthetically pleasing end sleeve. After all, the eye camps with you and who wants to look at fraying pipe ends.
