Few things are really indispensable when camping, backpacking or during survival expeditions in the wilderness. A multipurpose receptacle is definitely one of them: for storage, washing or simply to keep things clean and away from dirt and dust. Our folding bowl made from 100% Nylon is just made for that. It is much lighter than solid plastic or aluminum bowls and requires much less storing space in your backpack or on your person. It simply folds up into a small roll and is neatly held together by a sturdy strap that is sewn onto the outside.
The interior PU-coating makes the folding bowl absolutely watertight and also allows for easy cleaning. D-rings, straps and loops attached to the sides can be used to hang the bowl from lines, hooks or branches to dry it out or to store food items away from ground dwelling insects.
Applications and uses for our folding bowl are virtually limitless – and that applies not only in the wilderness. It’s a great piece of equipment for travelling or everyday use: as a portable drinking bowl for your dog for instance. It’s not only watches and pocket knives that the Swiss do really, really well, they also know a thing or two about cruder tools. This pickaxe for example is used by the Swiss army engineer corps and it’s both extremely well-made and versatile. You can use it for all kinds of outdoor activities, as off-road equipment and much more. The forged steel head offers a point and a flat blade for all kinds of digging work required in a camp, e.g. making a fire pit, digging rain trenches around your tent or cracking ice in winter.
When compared to a foldable army spade, this traditional pick offers considerable advantages. Especially on very hard or stony ground, digging with a folding spade is often difficult or even impossible. The army spade’s folding hinges limit the force that can be exerted and they also tend to get damaged or worn-out. In contrast, the pickaxe’s simple design means that the physical force is concentrated on a very small area at the tip or the blade. That makes the pickaxe your tool of choice, especially when it comes to harder surfaces. And besides, most outdoor digging tasks don’t involve removing huge amounts of soil. In most cases, loosening and scraping will suffice and for that the Swiss army pick is ideal.
With its length of roughly 30 cm for the head and 52 cm for the high-quality wooden shaft and its overall weight of only 1.3 kg approximately, this pickaxe is both easy to pack and to transport. A sturdy roll-up bag made from PU-coated nylon keeps the pick always neatly stowed and guarantees that your other equipment won’t get soiled or damaged. This applies especially to activities where you keep still or move only slowly for longer periods of time, like winter sports events as a spectator, slow walks, visits to Christmas markets or aurora safaris in the far North. Or think about those outdoor pursuits that require the fine motor skills of your hands and fingers, as in hunting or ice fishing for example. The ideal place to warm your hands in these situations is not your coat pocket but a super warm and practical muff.
Our muffs are manufactured in our very own textile shop from best quality 1000D Nylon material. They sport an interior Polar Fleece lining and an intermediate wadding layer to create extremely efficient insulation that will warm your hands really quickly. On both ends, we’ve sewn in drawstrings to prevent cold air entering through the openings. With a length of 42 cm and a diameter of roughly 13 cm, you can almost fit the whole length of your underarms into the muff. Holding it in place is a sturdy strap that can be adjusted for all sizes and positions. In addition, we’ve also attached a MOLLE fleece to the front, for patches and small accessories.

Our dog loving textile team has a couple of new and practical products for the latter. The dog treat dummy bags are the perfect addition to our snack pouches, if you are planning to provide some active and successful training for your dog.
The robust Nylon PU coated dummy bag with its sturdy zipper can be filled with dog biscuits and other treats. Once it’s been associated as a source of food, the bag can be used for all kinds of lessons from everyday skills for companion dogs to specialized training for hunting or other working dogs. One end of the bag is a sturdy tab with a strong metal eyelet. Attached is a paracord with toggle clasp, making it easy to throw the bag or to hold onto it when teaching your dog retrieving, obedience or self-control.
The dog food dummy is available in the colors Coyote, Black and Orange. The signal color is especially useful when you’re training finding and retrieving in long grass, underbrush or similarly difficult terrain. Should your dog fail to sniff out or bring back the bag, you can spot it more easily yourself. Our Nakatanenga Bear loves to scrub up and keeps everything neat, tidy and protected. That’s why we are introducing our own hanging wash bag with the bear logo on it, for travel, outdoor and camping. Everything else out there hasn’t really done it for us, so we made some key improvements to the most important details and put them all in one cool roll!
Advantage #1 for our Nakatanenga toiletry bag: lots of mesh! We’re using great amounts of mesh material especially in the interior zip bag area, so that the wash roll can dry off quickly after you’ve been to a tiny wet room. If your shampoo or deodorant has leaked again, you can quickly rinse the mesh in a sink or basin. The wash bags exterior is Nylon PU-coated and therefore extremely robust, easy to clean and water resistant.
Advantage #2: our firm G-hook! Even brand wash bags often sport these cheap round hooks that come off with the slightest movement or push. As a result, your personal hygiene items are too often scattered on less than appealing bathroom floors. Our G-hook closes the rolled-up wash bag tightly and you can also use it to hang the bag securely in windy or cramped places. We also enclose a hooked suction cup to firmly fix the bag to smooth surfaces like tiles or glass.
Advantage #3: Roll it up! Roll beats bag, anytime, even when it comes to wash bags. Rolling up your gear minimizes the required storage space and holds everything tightly in place, thereby preventing damage to the bag or your hygiene articles by pointy or sharp objects within. When containers are firmly held together, they are also less likely to accidentally open up and spill the contents. There are two additional loops inside to hold your razor, toothbrush or similar. A water-resistant pocket keeps moisture sensitive items like band aids or medication dry and clean.
Advantage #4: Velcro! Your mirror is kept in place by a Velcro patch. If you need to clean the mirror or use it in your hand, it’s easily taken off the bag. A second Velcro patch on the outside can be used for personalizing your wash roll. Just get one of our handy ID patches and write your name on it. No more accidental grabbing of someone else’s stuff.

The principle of Tool Roll is as ingenious as it is old: roll out instead of junk. The square fits into the round, remains always at the intended place and therefore takes less space altogether. Can you still improve that? We say yes.
The newly developed, modular Nakatanenga Tool Roll owes its added value to our experience as an off-roader, screwdriver and also as a fan of tactical equipment. The clou are big velcro surfaces on the baseplate. So our tool roll can be equipped arbitrarily and is extremely flexible in use.
Depending on the set, up to six tool bags (sizes M and S) can be attached. So you take with you only the tool sets that are really needed. For better clarity, the individual pockets can be color-coded via the zip puller. Fluorescent, writable ID patches help to identify the content, even in the dark. And we also thought about it: Loose bits and pieces find their place in the sewn-in mesh pockets.
The Tool Roll rolls up clean even with maximum placement and is quickly closed or opened with two clip closures. Carrying handle and shoulder strap facilitate transport. When deployed, the Toll Roll on the D-rings (two or three depending on size) is hung on the wall, on the vehicle or on the tree in the field. Robust, high-quality nylon is our material of choice to guarantee long life even with hard use.

Our foldable diaper bag handles every nappy crisis in the field and hallway. In the unfolded state, the pad with designated "drop zone" is about 85 cm long. The emergency equipment of diapers, wipes, baby creams and many other things can be stored in the side flaps. Inside and outside, the bag is made of 100% nylon with PU coating: This means, as always with us, PVC-free functionality and washability, without the kids are burdened with harmful plasticizers.

The Nakatanenga backpack When product design becomes a matter of survival, as in military equipment, the principle of reduction applies to the maximum. The superfluous or useless is mercilessly sorted out and each part is charged with as many functions as possible. Therefore, it is never wrong to take tactical equipment as a model to make everyday products better. This is what we did with our new backpack and created an all-rounder, which is due to its practical properties as a Bug Out / Survival Bag as well as a daypack for school, university or work. Ergonomically, we paid attention to wearing comfort. Depending on the package, four adjustable straps ensure stability and comfort. Removable chest and waist straps reduce weight on the shoulders for greater stability when running, climbing or cycling. The mesh padding on the back is especially pleasant on longer tours. It’s not quite clear who invented the fanny pack or bum bag or whatever you want to call it. But in all likelihood, these hip bags can be traced back to the simple pouches skiers wore in the 1970ies. That would make a lot of sense because those neat little items beat every backpack and every other kind of bag when you are out and about without much equipment. Your hands are free and so is your back, giving you freedom of movement in all terrains and also preventing you from sweating through your shirt or jacket. Whether you’re hiking, jogging or walking your dog, our Tactical Bear hip bag supplies enough storage space to carry all your essentials with you. The same goes for bike and boat trips or even for outdoor work or hunting. You will never feel hampered or weighed down, whether you’re wearing the bag as a classic fanny pack around the hips or “gangsta style” diagonally across your chest.
Its dimensions of 30x20x12 cm make our hip bag spacious enough for all your essential everyday items. Additionally, we made this pack as versatile and functional as real outdoorsmen and -women expect it to be. The “Tactical” in Tactical Bear is also a clue. Material and workmanship are extremely sturdy – whether it’s textiles like 100% Nylon, zippers, buckles, straps or the belt. As is standard with tactical gear, all components feature many additional functions: Velcro fleece, MOLLE mesh, pockets, rubber straps and an additional Velcro pocket compartment on the inside allow for individual customization, orderly organizing and quick access.
Many clever details turn this Bear Pouch into a proper multi-tasker: There’s a loop sewn into the back so that you can put the bag neatly away on a hook once you’re done for the day. We also used lockable zipper sliders so that pickpockets don’t stand a chance when you’re travelling. In one corner of the bag is a small opening for charger cables, headphones and the like. A neat little trick: use it as a dog poop bag dispenser. When you’re walking your dog, push a corner of your dog waste bags through this slit and pull them out as you need them. As easy and comfortable as can be.
Speaking of, for a comfy fit and good ventilation, there is an equally light and robust mesh layer on the back side. Underneath the mesh, we’ve integrated a HDPE plate (High Density Polyethylen). This keeps the bag in shape and prevents pointy items from poking you in the back, stomach or chest. The strong nylon belt can be extended up to a length of 1.60m to accommodate for the diagonal carrying style across the chest. If you wear the bag around the hips, simply roll up the loose ends and secure them with the sewn-in Velcro straps to prevent them from dangling or getting in the way.
