This little flashlight belongs in every emergency or survival kit. Even when the in-built battery is completely flat, you can get it working in no time, because the power sources for this little helper are built into the lamp’s housing: a small solar panel on one side and a dynamo with a crank handle on the other. Simply recharge this torch by exposing the mini solar panel to sunlight or by exerting a tiny amount of physical labor i.e. cranking the handle. There is no need for any external sources of electricity, chargers or replacement batteries.
This combination of hassle-free recharging makes this torch ideal in all kinds of off-grid or emergency scenarios: for camping, when your car breaks down at night or in a black-out. Or simply when walking alone or with your dog at night.
The lamp‘s three economical LEDs can be powered for approximately 1 hour by only 6 minutes of cranking. If possible, you can also keep the torch in a place where it can regularly collect sunlight. In which case, you’ll probably hardly ever need to use the crank handle.
The black and olive housing is compact, robust and features an integrated carabiner hook to securely hang the torch from your belt, a backpack or in your tent. The ergonomic design ensures, that all functions can be quickly accessed, even in the dark.

It’s not quite clear who invented the fanny pack or bum bag or whatever you want to call it. But in all likelihood, these hip bags can be traced back to the simple pouches skiers wore in the 1970ies. That would make a lot of sense because those neat little items beat every backpack and every other kind of bag when you are out and about without much equipment. Your hands are free and so is your back, giving you freedom of movement in all terrains and also preventing you from sweating through your shirt or jacket. Whether you’re hiking, jogging or walking your dog, our Tactical Bear hip bag supplies enough storage space to carry all your essentials with you. The same goes for bike and boat trips or even for outdoor work or hunting. You will never feel hampered or weighed down, whether you’re wearing the bag as a classic fanny pack around the hips or “gangsta style” diagonally across your chest.
Its dimensions of 30x20x12 cm make our hip bag spacious enough for all your essential everyday items. Additionally, we made this pack as versatile and functional as real outdoorsmen and -women expect it to be. The “Tactical” in Tactical Bear is also a clue. Material and workmanship are extremely sturdy – whether it’s textiles like 100% Nylon, zippers, buckles, straps or the belt. As is standard with tactical gear, all components feature many additional functions: Velcro fleece, MOLLE mesh, pockets, rubber straps and an additional Velcro pocket compartment on the inside allow for individual customization, orderly organizing and quick access.
Many clever details turn this Bear Pouch into a proper multi-tasker: There’s a loop sewn into the back so that you can put the bag neatly away on a hook once you’re done for the day. We also used lockable zipper sliders so that pickpockets don’t stand a chance when you’re travelling. In one corner of the bag is a small opening for charger cables, headphones and the like. A neat little trick: use it as a dog poop bag dispenser. When you’re walking your dog, push a corner of your dog waste bags through this slit and pull them out as you need them. As easy and comfortable as can be.
Speaking of, for a comfy fit and good ventilation, there is an equally light and robust mesh layer on the back side. Underneath the mesh, we’ve integrated a HDPE plate (High Density Polyethylen). This keeps the bag in shape and prevents pointy items from poking you in the back, stomach or chest. The strong nylon belt can be extended up to a length of 1.60m to accommodate for the diagonal carrying style across the chest. If you wear the bag around the hips, simply roll up the loose ends and secure them with the sewn-in Velcro straps to prevent them from dangling or getting in the way.

Famously, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad preparation, if we may extend the scope of the old saying. In any case, you’re well prepared for all sorts of situations if you carry one of our Nakatanenga multifunctional covers in your car. One side is covered in an insulating aluminum thermal foil, the other is made from PU coated, stepped nylon, making it a perfect multi-purpose cover. Especially when it’s cold or wet or both. The material is extremely robust, water-repellent and easy to clean.
In winter, it makes the perfect windshield cover, especially for SUV’s or 4x4’s. With ample dimensions of 162 x 86 cm the mat features on the nylon side 6 firmly sewn-in d-rings made from sturdy plastic. You simply attach the included rubber straps, your own elastic cords and fasten them to mirrors or other structural features. The insulated aluminum side sports 5 cm wide and 20 cm long nylon straps that are meant to be trapped in the door frame. That way nothing will shift or be blown away by the wind overnight. In the morning everyone will appreciate a snow and ice-free windshield.
The mat also does an excellent job at other times of the year or on other occasions. In summer, it reduces the heating of the inside of the car and is also the perfect base: as a picnic blanket for the damp meadow or as a place for the four-legged friend to lie down, for sports, outdoor activities or repairs in the field as well as the cosy round at the campfire. Simply spread out, lie nice and warm and dry and finally fold along the quilting after use and stow away. As always with our textile products from our own production, the cover is made of robust materials, solidly sewn and free of harmful plastics.

Winter is coming and our super-warm ¾-length Nakatanenga winter socks are the perfect preparation for cold, wet and action in snow and ice. There’s an endless discussion amongst athletes and outdoor specialists what’s more important, shoes or socks, but fact is that the right choice of socks is key to comfort, health and performance, especially in the cold season. What good are the best of boots when your socks are not warming you, stay constantly damp and clammy or rub and chafe?
Our warm Nakasox for winter feature the same combination of natural Merino wool and synthetics as our lighter summer or 3-season socks. Especially in winter, thermal regulation is most important. Merino, the supersheep’s natural air conditioning system, does a fantastic job even during highly demanding activities like snowboarding or skiing. The fleece fibers’ microstructure allows for fast wicking of moisture and efficient condensation. Sweating is reduced and hence the dangers of hypothermia. The warm and dry Nakasox-feeling is further enhanced by the general comfort provided by the material’s touch and feel. Merino doesn’t itch and its antimicrobial properties also mean that your socks don’t smell as easily (or quickly) as with other materials.
Especially when wearing them in boots or for sports activities, a perfect fit and elasticity are what you’re looking for in a sock. A special combination of performance synthetics and the anatomical design mean that Nakasox will stay in perfect shape even during and after heavy mechanical stress. Soles and heels are padded and a thinner weave between bridge and shin make vertical movements as in hiking or cross-country skiing more comfortable. Well-fitted and elastic socks don’t slip and slide and give your feet a better overall fit inside your boots. This multifunctional cloth is reminiscent of a Kufiya / Shemagh which has its origin in the Middle East. Once the cloth was intended as protection against sun and sandstorms in the desert. Nakatanenga Muff for cosy, warm hands
In the winter and on cold days in general, there are many occasions when gloves or mittens are not really practical because you need to use your hands off and on. This applies especially to activities where you keep still or move only slowly for longer periods of time, like winter sports events as a spectator, slow walks, visits to Christmas markets or aurora safaris in the far North. Or think about those outdoor pursuits that require the fine motor skills of your hands and fingers, as in hunting or ice fishing for example. The ideal place to warm your hands in these situations is not your coat pocket but a super warm and practical muff.
Our muffs are manufactured in our very own textile shop from best quality 1000D Nylon material. They sport an interior Polar Fleece lining and an intermediate wadding layer to create extremely efficient insulation that will warm your hands really quickly. On both ends, we’ve sewn in drawstrings to prevent cold air entering through the openings. With a length of 42 cm and a diameter of roughly 13 cm, you can almost fit the whole length of your underarms into the muff. Holding it in place is a sturdy strap that can be adjusted for all sizes and positions. In addition, we’ve also attached a MOLLE fleece to the front, for patches and small accessories.
This muff is the ideal winter companion for every man and – most of all – every woman!
