The Roof Lodge Trailer Tent brings that special roof tent experience to a trailer – sleep up high, set up quickly, travel flexibly and enjoy significantly more space than in a traditional roof tent.   The Trailer Tent is the ideal solution for anyone who wants to combine the comfort of a spacious tent with the practical flexibility of a car trailer. It is available either as a tent to be fitted onto an existing trailer or as a complete system including a car trailer. This means the system can be perfectly tailored to your own requirements – from an existing trailer project right through to a complete, ready-to-travel solution.   Why choose a trailer tent? A roof tent on your vehicle is brilliant – but sometimes you just want more space, more storage and more flexibility. This is exactly where the Roof Lodge Trailer Tent comes in: the tent isn’t mounted on the vehicle’s roof, but on a trailer. This means you can still use your vehicle as normal, whilst the trailer can remain at the campsite as a comfortable base.   Opening the tent door in the morning, letting in the fresh air, making your first coffee in the sheltered awning and starting the day outdoors – it’s precisely this feeling that makes the Trailer Tent so special. It’s not just a makeshift shelter, but a well-designed mobile home for when you’re on the move. Sleep just like in a roof tent – only with more space around you The sleeping area offers a comfortable sleeping space measuring 1.70 x 2.10 m, providing plenty of room for two adults and a child. Its raised position on the trailer creates that typical roof tent feeling: off the damp ground, well ventilated and comfortably sheltered.   The high-quality 10 cm-thick cold foam mattress ensures a restful night’s sleep. It is manufactured in Germany, complies with the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and offers significantly greater sleeping comfort than simple camping mats or thin standard mattresses. This turns a night in a tent into a truly enjoyable travel experience.   Dimensioned sketch – side view     Large awning for living, cooking and bad weather The awning supplied as standard is one of the major advantages of this system. Measuring 3.60 x 2.30 m, it creates a spacious, weather-protected extra space – ideal for cooking, sitting, getting changed, storing things or simply as a relaxing retreat when it’s windy or raining.   Depending on the weather and your needs, the awning can be used in various ways: left off entirely, set up as an airy awning, or used as an enclosed extra room with side walls. The side walls feature an entrance and two large windows. These can be closed, opened or set up as a sunshade using the telescopic poles supplied.   This creates exactly the kind of space you often miss when you’re on the road: a sheltered spot for everyday camping life – with light, fresh air and plenty of room to move about.   Sleeping area, living and cooking area, and an additional awning, measuring 3.60 x 4.60 m in total.     Quick to set up, sturdy and well-designed The main tent, which comprises a sleeping area as well as a living and cooking area, stands without any guy ropes. This makes setting it up particularly straightforward: park the trailer, unfold the tent, set it up – and your camp is ready. Only the additional awning requires appropriate guy ropes once it is fully set up.   The sturdy steel frame ensures a robust construction, whilst the windows and entrances are fitted with mosquito nets. This allows fresh air into the tent whilst keeping mosquitoes and other insects out. This is a real bonus, particularly on warm summer evenings or on longer trips. Durable materials for real camping adventures The tent and the large awning are made from robust nylon tent fabric and are designed for camping, travelling and extended stays in the great outdoors. The tent floor is made from 450 g/m² PVC, whilst the transport cover is made from sturdy TPU tarpaulin. This ensures that the Trailer Tent is reliably protected from dirt, splashes and the elements during transport.   The Roof Lodge Trailer Tent is handcrafted in Germany. It is manufactured to high quality standards in our own tent-making workshop. The result is a durable, high-quality trailer tent – built to last for many years of travel, camping and adventure. Complete system with car trailer In the complete system version, the Trailer Tent is supplied together with a suitable car trailer. In our design, the tent sits on the trailer’s side panels and is combined with a fully-enclosing cover. This creates a large, weather-protected storage space beneath the tent.   This storage space offers room for everything you need to take with you on your travels: camping cookware, chairs, a table, sleeping bags, sports equipment, tools, clothing or other luggage. Despite the Trailer Tent, awning and accessories, the complete system still has a free payload of 375 kg.   The trailer has a maximum authorised mass of 750 kg and is approved for speeds of up to 100 km/h. The complete system also comes with a ball-end protection system, two wheel chocks and four sturdy supports. These ensure the trailer stands securely and give you a peaceful night’s sleep – even away from designated parking areas. Mobile Camping Kitchen 48l - Complete Set with Gas Stove, Tableware and Cutlery for 4 People Sound familiar? The cutlery's in a Tupperware box, the stove's shoved in the back left, the mugs are in some crate entirely elsewhere, right next to the tinned soup. And where the hell is the washing-up bowl again? Anyone seen the ladle? And did we even pack the tin opener? Having everything in one place would be nice. But just chucking it all into a crate where the first pothole sends it flying doesn't help much either. That's why our team came up with something: an outdoor kitchen box with everything on board, packed into a 48-litre Transformer box. A slot-in system keeps every piece in its place, so opening it up doesn't send half the gear tumbling out. The metal parts wear a black, fine-textured powder coating that shrugs off scratches and wipes clean in a second. Fingerprints and the odd splash of grease barely show. And the neat trick with the Transformer boxes: the cooking box opens from the top and from the front, depending on what needs reaching. The whole thing sets up in a few moves. The lid turns into the worktop, and for more space, the two side tables clip on. Suddenly there's room for the stove, the tableware, a few ingredients and the collapsible washing-up bowl. It reaches a comfortable working height once the box sits on two more Transformer boxes (the food's got to live somewhere too, right?) or on the tailgate, on a pick-up for instance. Inside the Nakatanenga kitchen box sits a complete set for up to four people. Stove with piezo ignition, pot set, windshield and gas cartridge, plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery. Plus the little bits that somehow always get left behind: tin opener, tea towel, washing-up bowl. And once bellies are full and the last plate is dried, the whole kitchen heads back where it came from and disappears neatly into the boot. The washing-up, though, it still won't do for anyone. Power distributor with fuse holder and earth connection for 6 or 12 circuits Compact fuse, connection and distribution box for up to six or twelve separately fused circuits with a load capacity of up to 30 amps per consumer and voltages of up to 32 volts. This makes the holder suitable for a wide range of vehicles, from classic cars with 6 V electrical systems to trucks with 24 V electrical systems.The fuse box also serves as a distribution or collection system for the earth connection. Difficult-to-locate electrical and electronic problems due to a bad earth wire of the bodywork are thus significantly minimised - especially for Land Rover Defender models from model year 2007 onwards (Td4 engine) this is a good investment! A ground cable is then fed back to the battery from the ground collection point.The distributor is the cornerstone of a neatly constructed and fused electrical system in the vehicle and should be fitted right at the start of Defender ownership if possible.
