Accessories Dashboard Mounting Point for New Defender L663 Practical mounts for cell phones, navigation devices, tablets, and other gadgets are indispensable, because even the latest cars with all their "connectivity" don't deliver everything an off-roader, overland explorer or ambitious camper requires. However, cheap plastic mounts are usually a waste of money and not everyone wants to stick suction cups to their windows either. Our mounting plates for the side handles on the dashboard of the New Defender are designed to support heavy duty mounts – like those from market leader RAM Mounts. The plate’s tight hold makes sure that nothing wobbles, collapses or falls off. But most of all, there are no suction cups involved as they tend to come loose when off-roading or speeding along bumpy dirt roads.The mounting plate is powder-coated black to match the interior of the new Landy and you simply fasten it with the existing screws of the handle. No drilling is required and removal is as easy as installation. Three strong, internally threaded 6 mm screw holes (M6) allow you to mount ball joints, brackets and other mounting equipment, either from RAM Mounts or other brands. If you’re looking for seat covers for the New Defender – the front seats to be precise – look no further than our seat protectors made from durable, and easy-to-clean 1000D Nylon 6.6. The seat covers were developed by us in our own tailor's workshop  – guaranteeing highest functionality and best workmanship. To ensure maximum comfort and compatibility with the climate technologies in your seats, the covers feature breathable mesh fabric on the actual sitting surface. And even though it is mesh, it will still protect the seat from dirt and moisture. To achieve a perfect fit, the one-piece cover is tightly tailored and does not require zippers or similar. Simply pull it over the seat, Velcro the top part underneath the headrest and close the sturdy straps and buckles on the underside. Additionally, a mesh pocket with a rubber foam piece inside is wedged into the gap between backrest and seat surface to prevent the cover from sliding. Mounting plate air intake for CB radio antennas, Land Rover Defender, for right-hand drive (RHD) This mounting plate ensures optimum mounting of a CB antenna on the air intake of the Land Rover Defender. For this purpose, the mounting plate is installed on the right-hand (as seen from the driver's seat) ventilation grille / air intake. For left-hand drive vehicles, you can find the mounting plate here in our shop. As the Defender is made of aluminium, unfortunately no magnetic antenna base will hold. Our neat and snug seat cushions make even boring aluminum cases “hugge” and that’s Danish for comfy. Winter is coming and our super-warm ¾-length Nakatanenga winter socks are the perfect preparation for cold, wet and action in snow and ice. Battery recharging & charge retention Perhaps this situation sounds familiar to you: You are standing on the beach in your camper and leave the car radio on for a long time or open the door frequently. Suddenly, the vehicle battery management system reports that the (starter) battery is running low and the radio switches off or the battery needs to be charged. This is often caused by high power consumption by the vehicle radio or vehicle control systems, which are active for a while every time the door is opened and consume a relatively large amount of power from the starter battery. While all VOTRONIC mains chargers, solar charge controllers and combination chargers have a power-reduced auxiliary charging output in addition to the powerful main charging output, which supplies the starter battery with a defined trickle charge, many conventional devices unfortunately do not have this at all.This can be remedied by a so-called stand-by charger. Charging technology at the highest level The battery is the central element of a vehicle's electrical system. It requires the greatest attention, maintenance and care and, above all, it must be charged correctly. Modern lithium (LiFePO4) batteries have a significantly higher open-circuit voltage than starter batteries (lead, AGM). When using simple, unregulated and uncontrolled standby chargers, this leads to the complete discharge of the lithium supply battery. For this reason, the Standby Charger (item no. 3065 or 6065) is unfortunately not suitable for these batteries. The VOTRONIC StandBy Charger Pro, on the other hand, has an adjustable undervoltage limit at the input. Charging is interrupted if the voltage falls below this limit. This means that it can be operated on a modern lithium (LiFePO4) battery as a supply battery without any problems and without running the risk of draining it completely. Blower control for Land Rover Defender Fan and heater in classic Defenders are notoriously poor in performance and reliability – especially in northern latitudes, where cold winters and rainy days regularly impair comfort and safety in the cockpit. While Land Rover upgraded to an improved fan heater for the Td4 (MY 2007), all previous models can easily be retrofitted with an electronic control system. In contrast to the old analog fan heater, the new electronic control system allows for continuous adjustments. This ensures more efficient operation and therefore better ventilation, heating and dehumidification in the interior. Heating your vehicle’s interior can be achieved much quicker, as is demisting or de-icing of the windows. Additionally, the electronic control is much less prone to wear than the old mechanical solution using sliders and resistors, which are susceptible to shocks and vibrations. The retrofit kit includes the electronic control, a stepless slider and all the assembly parts for the connections. Installation instructions are included.

Solar panel for bonnet Next generation solar cells are increasingly integrated into structural components. Instead of separate, awkwardly mounted modules on the roof of a house, for example, the roof tiles themselves function as solar panels. Our PV modules for the hoods of 4x4s and vans follow this principle. While they do not yet replace the hood, they are so thin (only 3 mm) and so flexible that they precisely fit the shape of the hood – making them hard to recognize as an extra add-on. In addition, they are also extremely aerodynamic and robust enough to even step on them if needed. The hood modules for Defenders Td5 and Td4, New Defender, Jimny 2, Mercedes G-Class and Sprinter have an output of between 75 and 90 W at 12 V, depending on the model. Your only requirement is sufficient sunlight to generate enough power for the primary and secondary batteries in the car during the day. This in turn enables you to reliably operate all the devices needed in a camper or expedition vehicle: navigation and communication devices, laptop, cooking equipment, refrigerator and much more. Your equipment always remains fully functional and a sufficient charge of the starter battery is also guaranteed. Mounting the PV module and wiring it up to the batteries in the vehicle are equally easy DIY jobs. The included adhesive tape is all you need to attach the panel to the hood while the intelligent charge controller and the adapter allow for plug & play electric installation.
