Coupling rod/ Rods for height adjustment Installing lift kits for 4x4’s usually requires complex (and expensive) modifications. Not so if your vehicle comes with a self-regulating air suspension, like the New Defender. Raising the ride height of the New Landy by 1 or 1,6 inches takes very little in terms of effort or budget. The principle is very simple and has been employed with Discovery 5 and Range Rover Sport models for quite some time. Simply replace the original rods on all four wheel suspensions with our replacements. The new rod’s different dimensions will trick the self-regulating suspension to permanently lift the ride by 1” or 1,6”, respectively, in all drive modes. Once the new lift rods are installed, the vehicle’s sensor system will adjust itself automatically to the new ride height after the first restarting of your car. Resetting the ride to original factory settings is just as easy and only a question of minutes. We produce these 1“ and 1,6“ lift rods for the New Defender in our own workshop. The rods are laser machined from extremely robust high-quality plastics and the bushings are created in an additive process. This makes both components highly resistant to degradation by weather or chemicals, like fuel, oils etc. The custom-designed bushings are flexible and extend to both sides of the rods’ connections. In terms of quality, this is a far superior solution over many other products on the market, specifically aluminum rods with cheap off-the-shelf cable grommets. Available as +1“ or + 1,6“. Rear ladder left, black powder-coated What makes a good rear ladder? It is sturdily constructed and allows safe and easy access to the roof rack in all weather conditions. That much is clear. A VERY good rear ladder, like the one from Terrafirma, also fits aerodynamically to the shape of the bodywork, minimizing fuel consumption and wind noise. In addition, the view of the rear lights remains unrestricted and opening the rear door is not impeded in any way. The Terrafirma rear ladder for the New Defender (from BJ2020) is made of 25 mm steel tubes and has non-slip perforated steps and a durable powder coating in elegant black.  Installation instructions and mounting materials are included.    

Upgrading the reverse lights on your car is always a good idea – better visibility for others and for yourself when you’re parking backwards, when maneuvering with and without trailer or driving off-road in the dark. Stronger reverse lights also greatly improve the performance of reverse cameras. For the New Defender, we are offering an extremely elegant solution that needs no external fittings and has the seamless appearance of standard equipment. Underneath the rear lights on both sides of L663, two recesses in the body are ideal for housing the additional reverse lights with their six white LEDs each. Mounting the LEDs in the recesses is easy. Two perfectly fitted brackets are attached inside the gaps with self-adhesive tape. Once the plinths are fitted the LEDs are simply screwed in. The wiring is plug & play and includes all the necessary connections to the existing reverse lights. Installation or de-installation (if necessary) are simple DIY projects because the rear light panels are only clipped in and can easily be removed. Since there are no drill holes or other alterations necessary, there are no permanent traces or damages on the vehicle’s exterior. The high-quality LEDs with their watertight housing and the tough polycarbonate lenses provide more safety for you. The custom-fitted design and the superior components are a real improvement for the overall appearance of the Defender’s rear. Please note:The reverse LEDs come with an E-certificate but we have to emphasize that regulation in the EU prohibits the use of more than two reverse lights on passenger vehicles in regular road traffic. To accommodate these provisions, we are offering perfectly fitted covers for the LEDs to be used on publics roads or for technical inspections.
