Nakatanenga foldable door step

Access to the roof of a car is usually something for climbing professionals - especially from the side. This applies to expedition-ready 4x4s with CargoBear-style system carriers that can be climbed by ladder, and especially to SUVs with ski racks or family vans with roof boxes. Often the vehicles are simply too high or the drivers too small or unathletic to get safe and easy side access to the roof load. They try to find a foothold on the seats by groping with their feet while holding on tightly with one hand to avoid tipping over backwards. Or you climb onto boxes or makeshift ladders and let the passenger support you, but who always has ladders or a passenger with them?
What fits into the car in any case is our convenient and safe climbing aid for hanging into the body-side locking brackets of the door locks. The ladder replacement is hooked into the catch eye of the latch with a simple, fold-out hook. The pressure of the rubberised rear edge of the step surface on the B- or C-pillar results in an absolutely safe climbing aid under load that does not wobble or slip. This way, you can reach every side of the car roof safely and quickly without much effort.
The locking brackets of the car doors have to withstand forces that are many times the weight of the human body so that the door does not open in the event of an accident or attempted break-in. The ladder itself is made of an extremely solid aluminium alloy and is designed to withstand 200 kg. This means that even large and heavy contemporaries need not worry. However, the first use should be carried out with caution and care in order to get the necessary safety when climbing. The step is covered with non-slip, grooved PVC and to ensure that the paintwork is not damaged, there is an additional rubber protector that can be attached to the edge of the step.
By the way, if there is no more room for the foldable door step in the glove compartment or the centre shelf, you can leave the emergency hammer at home, because it has a steel tip at the front and thus also functions as a rescue tool for breaking windows.

The principle of Tool Roll is as ingenious as it is old: roll out instead of junk. The square fits into the round, remains always at the intended place and therefore takes less space altogether. Can you still improve that? We say yes.
The newly developed, modular Nakatanenga Tool Roll owes its added value to our experience as an off-roader, screwdriver and also as a fan of tactical equipment. The clou are big velcro surfaces on the baseplate. So our tool roll can be equipped arbitrarily and is extremely flexible in use.
Depending on the set, up to six tool bags (sizes M and S) can be attached. So you take with you only the tool sets that are really needed. For better clarity, the individual pockets can be color-coded via the zip puller. Fluorescent, writable ID patches help to identify the content, even in the dark. And we also thought about it: Loose bits and pieces find their place in the sewn-in mesh pockets.
The Tool Roll rolls up clean even with maximum placement and is quickly closed or opened with two clip closures. Carrying handle and shoulder strap facilitate transport. When deployed, the Toll Roll on the D-rings (two or three depending on size) is hung on the wall, on the vehicle or on the tree in the field. Robust, high-quality nylon is our material of choice to guarantee long life even with hard use.

That's bad! As we are known for not doing things by halves, our in-house tailoring department has come up with a multi-purpose tarpaulin that can really be used universally, again and again and in all situations: under the car, on the beach, at the shooting range or even on the yoga lawn - no problem at all.
The Nakatanenga tarp made from lorry tarpaulin is robust, practical and well thought-out. PVC-coated polyester fabric makes it extremely tear-resistant, waterproof and UV-resistant. Rustproof eyelets are used at the corners to allow fastening with straps or elasticated cords. This means that our universal tarpaulin can also quickly be used as a windscreen cover for the winter. It is guaranteed to be cleaned quickly after use under the oil pan or a baby's bottom when changing nappies. The flexible material can be rolled up small and stowed away to save space in the car, bag or rucksack. The drawstring straps are sewn in, as is the carry handle. So nothing gets lost.

We have now optimized the Nakatanenga Heavy Duty jump-start cable - 5m length with the help of 2 additional cables, so that it can be used as usual for Land Rover Defender and also as a normal jump-start cable for other vehicles. While the new jump starter cord has this added feature, we've managed to keep the price the same.
The offer includes two additional 1 meter cables. The first cable has matching cable lugs that connect to the Defender battery. The electrical plug on the first 1 meter long cable can be attached to the seat box of the Land Rover Defender, for example, and thus guarantees a quick and easy connection of the jump starter cable. The jump start cable can also be connected to the second 1m cable via the attached electrical plug so that it can be used for other vehicles. The pole clamps are of course insulated.
Our Nakatanenga tool bag is included in the scope of delivery. The jump start cable fits perfectly in the pocket and can therefore be taken anywhere.

Sand ladders, traction boards, foldable ramps or waffleboards – the range of recovery tracks for 4x4s these days is extremely specialized when it comes to different types of use, materials or surface conditions. No matter which kind of board you’re going for, though, there’s always two questions to keep in mind, whether your tracks are made from metal, synthetics or rubber: For one, where are you keeping them, before and after deployment or in seasonal storage? And two, how do you keep your vehicle clean, if you chose to transport the tracks inside the trunk or cargo hold instead of an outside mount?
Our Nakatanenga board bags will conclusively solve both issues. Whether it’s our own Maximum Traction boards, GFK Waffle Boards, aluminum sand ladders or any other product from MAXTRAX, TREDS, HEBE etc., the bag will fit any recovery board up to a maximum size of 1200 x 340 mm. With its depth of 130 mm at the sides, the bag is specifically designed for synthetic boards and their greater thickness when compared to classic metal sand ladders. However, the wide cut of the bag allows for a stack of boards of up to 180 mm in total. Inside the bag, we have sewn-in two adjustable straps with quick-release buckles to secure stacks of boards and prevent any sliding or shifting.
The fabric is made from robust 100% PU-coated nylon to ensure quick cleaning by brush or water hose. It is also machine washable at 30 Celsius. Our robust and easy-to-clean Polyester mesh bag was initially developed by our Nakatanenga textile shop to hold the kinetic tow ropes. The big Kinto rope with 8 m length and 24 mm width fits perfectly into this 60 x 35 cm bag. Apart from the ropes, this mesh bag is absolutely perfect for everything else that comes dirty and dripping: sports shoes and hiking boots, rain gear, training equipment, water sports, you name it.
Using mesh as the primary material for bag, also means much nicer handling in comparison to ordinary closed materials. You can quickly pack wet and dirty ropes and let them drain and dry in the bag. That way, there is no chance for trapped moisture to contribute to any material deterioration and unpleasant moldy smells.
You can also use the mesh itself to grab and handle excessively dirty equipment without having to use your bare hands, if nothing else is available. That comes in especially handy in emergency recoveries on the road, because you’re never as likely to carry all the dirt into your car’s interior. In principle, soft shackles are incredibly low tech: They are simple rope loops with a stopper knot and a fixed noose. The shackle is held together and tightened by the very load it is meant to hold and is easily opened or fastened. Maybe it is the very simplicity of the concept that accounts for some users’ skepticism and lets them stick to steel shackles even when using synthetic rope. A dedicated team and short distances enable continuous quality control and further development of our textile products. And if you already have an in-house tailoring workshop, then it's easy to accept customer requests for changes, customised products, suggestions and ideas for improvement at short notice and implement them wherever possible. What’s the best way to transport your tools and equipment? Case, box or bag? A bag will offer great advantages on the road, especially if it is as tough and high quality as our new Nakatanenga Bag. It is flexible, needs hardly more space than the actual contents and adds little extra weight on top. That makes our bag ideal to quickly pack, transport or store your gear, even in small spaces.
Heavy items aren’t a problem either due to the strengthened bottom of the bag, the wrap-around straps and the quality YKK zipper. And since bags are naturally less organized than cases or boxes, we have added four extra pockets on the inside, creating perfect spaces to store smaller objects separately.

And by the way: At Nakatanenga, we are exclusively using materials with 100 % Nylon PU coating for all our textile products. In contrast to PVC, Nylon PU (Polyurethane) contains no harmful, phthalate-based softeners. Until recently, lower-molecular-weight phthalates have been the primary choice for plasticizers in synthetic materials, even in food products and cosmetics. Phthalates accumulate in the environment, however, and are suspected to act like hormones due to their molecular similarity. Toxicologically, this is highly alarming, because it is assumed that these chemicals can cause many diseases, including cancer. For the coating of our Nakatanenga textile products, it is therefore no question for us to exclusively use non-toxic, ecologically sound alternatives that pose no health risks, like Nylon PU.
