Spice Up Your Life – with our Tool Roll Spice 2!
Who remembers the olden days when all you got around the campfire was skewered hot dogs and marshmallow s’mores? Well, those days are gone and good riddance. Today’s campers, be they male or female, working a BBQ grill or a Dutch oven, would be completely lost without a pinch of hand-plucked tarragon for the chicken, argentine dry-rub on the steak or oak-smoked Pimentón de la Vera in a vegan chilli. As we said before, who wants to go back to hot dogs and s’mores?
So what’s different from our original Tool Roll Spice? The brand-new Spice 2 measures 45 x 30 cm when opened and offers not only space for 7 included spice and herb containers but also safe, clean and practical storage for other essential cooking utensils. Two mesh-pockets will stow your cutlery, knives, garlic press, condiment tubes and much more. Other than that, our hot roll is just as easily rolled up, unrolled, carried or hung from a hook as its predecessor. The sturdy and easy-to-clean materials, the hand-sewn seams and the strong nylon straps with the snap-lock buckles take care of that.
The Spice 2’s airy mesh pockets are opened and closed by YKK quality zippers. They can take spills and leakages and are as easily washed as they are quick to dry.
The Tool Roll Spice 2 is your perfect culinary companion for a camping trip alone, with a mate or a date, in your backpack, on your bicycle, the bike or the 4x4.

Hungarian frying pan with foldable handle and bag Hardly any cooking dish is better suited for camping and outdoor life than a good iron frying pan. You can use it to cook almost anything - even directly in your camp fire’s embers if necessary. And all you need to do afterwards is to wipe it with a damp cloth. Unlike coated composite metal pans, the all-iron variety is virtually indestructible, isn’t detrimental to your health and it’s definitely highly sustainable – in fact, it has been for thousands of years. Connoisseurs also swear by the very unique frying properties, especially when it comes to the taste of a steak made in a patinated iron pan. Our Nakatanenga iron skillets come in two sizes, with diameters of 26.5 and 21 cm respectively. They feature a folding handle that makes it possible to store in their sturdy and easy-to-clean nylon PU-coated bags. In terms of weight, with 580 and 396 g in total (including bag), the pans are also ideal for backpackers. Please note: Iron pans must be cured before first use. Detailed instructions are included. The pan is ideally suited for the pan servant.

Nakatanenga demountable barbecue / fire bowl made of carbon steel, including accessories Camp fires are as old as mankind. Maybe that’s why we have such an intense relationship with open flames, glowing embers and – of course – grilled food. Hand on heart, is there anything more satisfying on a camping or weekend trip than sitting around a real fire with family and friends? Our brand new modular fire pit with grill and skewers can be put together and packed away in no time. Plates and stands are made from 4 mm steel. They are uncoated, so that barbecuing food is absolutely safe in our Nakatangenga brazier. Moreover, the lack of paints or coatings will also allow the steel to develop a beautiful patina over time – telling the story of so many good times around the fire! The individual metal elements are precision milled and are simply slotted into each other. Once assembled, the pit’s precision engineering makes sure everything holds tightly together. And since there are neither nuts nor bolts involved, you’ll never lose any small fastening parts as with other assembly kits. The solid short ends of the brazier include the stands and are made from a single sheet of metal each. Two feet on one end and a single one on the other create a firm tripod stand. This makes positioning the fire bowl always safe and easy, even on rough surfaces. If you have soft earth or snow, you can push the stands deep into the ground like a spade, ensuring rock solid stability. The side elements feature aeration holes to guarantee proper oxygenation for your fire or your embers. All around the top of the fire pit, you will find plenty of notches to securely place the grill or the skewers. Last but not least, the kit also features a sturdy pack bag made of high-quality nylon, reinforced with truck tarpaulin – guaranteeing safe and comfortable transport of your disassembled fire pit. The bag’s exterior and the skewer pouch are made from easy-to-clean nylon. As always with our own in-house textile products, we make sure that all straps, buckles and seams are extra-strong. That makes the bag probably as indestructible as the fire pit itself. Enjoy our mobile camp fire! Dutch Oven The Dutch Oven, often referred to simply as a pot (sic), is available here together with a sturdy tripod, a pot stand and, of course, a lid lifter. Although the pot itself is available in three sizes, we only offer it as a set in the two most popular sizes. Of course, the tripod, the lid lifter and the pot stand can also be used with the pound pot (coincidentally also the name of a very popular Dutch Oven dish - but here we mean our 12-quart pot). The pots are also particularly suitable for induction cookers, as well as for all other types (ceramic, open fire, etc.). Please select the desired size.A practical tip from Harry:Tried and tested for travelling: one of the two sets offered here! You can also attach one of these beautiful enamelled percolators to the tripod for making coffee. But be careful! Not all percolators are suitable for this type of coffee preparation! And... the handle can get devilishly hot! Our lid lifter doesn't really help here either. But if anyone knows of a practical way of using the Dutch oven lid lifter with a percolator, please let me knowWhere were we again? Exactly! With our DO sets... ideal for travelling, but probably a little undersized for a garden party. So in itself it's perfectly adequate for a garden party, but not for a G-A-R-T-E-N-P-A-R-T-Y!That's when you need our pound pot - and to supplement and round off the food base, you can always find a quick use for the smaller brother. And if you want to serve the much-quoted icing on the cake as a first aid against second hunger late at night: Take a piece of beef of your choice, it should be around 300-400 grams and nicely marbled, and it must be able to fit into the sizzle pan later (a flank steak is really tasty, but completely unsuitable for this), and put it in the oven set to around 55°C, but not immediately taken out of the fridge - preheating is superfluous, unless your G-A-R-T-E-N-P-A-R-T-Y is taking place in the Arctic Circle. There, in the oven, it can then remain for a long, really long time, but of course not until the end of time. So don't overdo it! And the following really does apply to this preparation: don't add salt! Garlic, thyme and/or rosemary add a familiar flavour, sage and coriander a less familiar but very interesting one. When your guests' appetite for a savoury or tasty treat reawakens, simply let the Sizzel Pan heat up in the embers and then place the meat inside. 45-60 seconds per side is usually sufficient and a knob of good butter should not be missing. Allow the meat to rest for a few more minutes, then cut into slices and serve, then cut into slices and serve sprinkled with salt (flakes!) and freshly ground pepper. Make sure you try it: Lemon pepper! Further information: Our Dutch ovens can be used over an open fire, on the barbecue, on the hob and also in the kitchen oven. We have deliberately opted for pots without legs, as these can be stored in a more space-saving way and can also be used in the normal kitchen. Our pots are already baked so that you can prepare delicious food straight away.

Tool Roll Hungry Mini - now also with WMF chef's knife - FREE! With this additional chef's knife, all common cutting tasks can be carried out effortlessly: The larger chef's knife is ideal for slicing and chopping solid ingredients, while the smaller preparation knife is perfect for finer work. Both knives impress with their long-lasting sharpness and hardened blades made of stainless, acid-resistant special steel, which is also coated. The ergonomically shaped handles fit perfectly in the hand and offer a secure grip. Thanks to the practical protective blade covers, the knives can be stored safely and space-savingly in the cutlery drawer. Tool Roll Hungry Edition, incl. Camping Cutlery The Defender represents English cultural heritage, just like a scrumptious picnic with cucumber sandwiches and Scotch Eggs. At Nakatanenga we thought, that’s not just a very good combination on a country estate in Somerset, but anywhere, really, where the Great Outdoors meets fine dining. And that’s why we’ve equipped our tried and tested Tool Roll with exquisite cutlery: et voilà, the Tool Roll Hungry Edition was born, available in Mini, Maxi and Titan! Instead of the usual camping sets with tin bowls, plastic sporks and aluminium knives, we offer stainless steel cutlery in the Tool Roll Hungry Edition Mini and Maxi as well as high-quality WMF cutting knives with heat-resistant and ergonomically shaped plastic handles. The Mini-set is designed for four people and the Maxi Edition for six, with a chopping board and a four-piece cooking spoon set made from durable bamboo. If you have to watch the weight of your equipment or you’re generally fascinated by great materials, the Tool Roll Hungry Mini Titan is the one for you. Being harder than steel, titanium allows for extremely thin manufacture of cutlery, plates, mugs and so forth while maintaining incredible robustness and durability. As a result, titanium utensils are generally even lighter than their aluminium equivalents, while providing all the health-related and hygienic advantages of stainless steel. The titanium fork and spoon sets can also be purchased separately. Whether you go for stainless steel or titanium, everything fits neatly into the space-saving roll-up bags made of durable nylon. Carrying strap and loops on the underside of the Maxi-Roll expand transport and combination options. And of course, the 12 pocket slots still provide space for other essential items. Can opener, corkscrew or maybe just the lobster tongs? No matter how you roll food-wise, whether it’s hot dogs or Foie Gras for you, the Tool Roll Hungry Edition is an unbeatably practical piece "Home from Home" for campers, off-roaders and foodies. Nylon PU (polyurethanes) is, unlike PVC, free from harmful phthalate-based plasticizers. Low molecular weight phthalates were until recently the most common plasticizers for plastics of all kinds, and are even used in food and cosmetics. However, they accumulate in the environment and are due to their molecular nature suspected of acting as the body's own hormones. This is toxicologically highly questionable and is considered the trigger for various diseases, including cancer. For Nakatanenga, it goes without saying that when it comes to coating textile products, it is only possible to use environmentally friendly and harmless alternatives such as nylon PU.
