Sand ladders, traction boards, foldable ramps or waffleboards – the range of recovery tracks for 4x4s these days is extremely specialized when it comes to different types of use, materials or surface conditions. No matter which kind of board you’re going for, though, there’s always two questions to keep in mind, whether your tracks are made from metal, synthetics or rubber: For one, where are you keeping them, before and after deployment or in seasonal storage? And two, how do you keep your vehicle clean, if you chose to transport the tracks inside the trunk or cargo hold instead of an outside mount?
Our Nakatanenga board bags will conclusively solve both issues. Whether it’s our own Maximum Traction boards, GFK Waffle Boards, aluminum sand ladders or any other product from MAXTRAX, TREDS, HEBE etc., the bag will fit any recovery board up to a maximum size of 1200 x 340 mm. With its depth of 130 mm at the sides, the bag is specifically designed for synthetic boards and their greater thickness when compared to classic metal sand ladders. However, the wide cut of the bag allows for a stack of boards of up to 180 mm in total. Inside the bag, we have sewn-in two adjustable straps with quick-release buckles to secure stacks of boards and prevent any sliding or shifting.
The fabric is made from robust 100% PU-coated nylon to ensure quick cleaning by brush or water hose. It is also machine washable at 30 Celsius. Strong seams, sturdy straps and durable zippers are, as always with our own textile products, a given. There’s also a MOLLE fleece patch to identify your kit with patches, stickers or tags.

Winter is coming and our super-warm ¾-length Nakatanenga winter socks are the perfect preparation for cold, wet and action in snow and ice. There’s an endless discussion amongst athletes and outdoor specialists what’s more important, shoes or socks, but fact is that the right choice of socks is key to comfort, health and performance, especially in the cold season. What good are the best of boots when your socks are not warming you, stay constantly damp and clammy or rub and chafe?
Our warm Nakasox for winter feature the same combination of natural Merino wool and synthetics as our lighter summer or 3-season socks. Especially in winter, thermal regulation is most important. Merino, the supersheep’s natural air conditioning system, does a fantastic job even during highly demanding activities like snowboarding or skiing. The fleece fibers’ microstructure allows for fast wicking of moisture and efficient condensation. Sweating is reduced and hence the dangers of hypothermia. The warm and dry Nakasox-feeling is further enhanced by the general comfort provided by the material’s touch and feel. Merino doesn’t itch and its antimicrobial properties also mean that your socks don’t smell as easily (or quickly) as with other materials.
Especially when wearing them in boots or for sports activities, a perfect fit and elasticity are what you’re looking for in a sock. A special combination of performance synthetics and the anatomical design mean that Nakasox will stay in perfect shape even during and after heavy mechanical stress. Soles and heels are padded and a thinner weave between bridge and shin make vertical movements as in hiking or cross-country skiing more comfortable. Well-fitted and elastic socks don’t slip and slide and give your feet a better overall fit inside your boots. After long and action-packed days in the mountains, the probability that you’ll experience chafing and blisters is greatly reduced.

Merino wool is most commonly associated with functional underwear for winter sports, because its insulating properties are legendary. But Merino is also the perfect material for our light sneaker socks for the summer. The super sheep’s miracle fleece provides everything that a good air conditioning system does: it regulates temperature and gets rid of excess moisture.
Merino not only warms but also cools in hot weather and that’s due to the micro structure of the ultra-fine curly fibers in the fleece. They absorb high amounts of moisture and release it quickly back to the air. Effective condensation thus cools your skin and leaves you with a pleasant feeling when wearing the socks. The experience of comfort and wellbeing is still increased by the fact that Merino wool doesn’t itch and that it smells less (and later) than other materials due to the fiber’s antibacterial properties.
Specially selected high-performance synthetics turn the Nakatanenga sneaker sock into a proper athlete, because polypropylene, elastane und polyamide components in the fabric ensure that the natural wool doesn’t get too strained by rubbing, chafing and stretching, especially in the summer when there is high demand from activities like running or hiking. The synthetics reduce wear and tear and keep the socks elastic and in shape.
With thin summer socks, the areas around the toes and the heel are especially vulnerable for chafing or rubbing through due to higher mechanical stress by your foot’s motion in the shoe. That’s why we have strengthened these zones with a soft plush fabric.

There are many aluminum cases, but just one “Alubox”. The Wiberg family’s business on Zealand in Denmark has been supplying the Danish military, various rescue services, international expeditions and the off-road community since 1999 with tough, handmade transport cases made from aluminum alloy AW-5754. As you would expect from real Vikings, Danish Aluboxes are seawater resistant. In addition, they can be padlocked, are dust-proof and highly resistant to corrosion and chemicals.
The Wibergs’ experience and their commitment to continuously improve the Aluboxes show in the details: extra-robust and impact-proof stacking corners provide tight connections when you put several boxes on top of each other. Spring handles retract, so they’re never sticking out as dangerous obstacles‚ causing damages or injuries. Aluboxes are now made with solid rivets for even greater robustness and durability, even in extreme conditions.
The new transport box for the 30-second touring tents by OZtents was developed by Soren Wiberg, who is a big fan of Land Rovers and camping. That’s why he saw right away that the somewhat flimsy OZtent carry bag needs to be improved upon. With packing dimensions of roughly 2 m, OZtents are usually too long to be stowed inside smaller 4x4s. The new Alubox measures 2130 x 510 x 220 mm, making it the ideal storage space for OZtent models RV1, RV2, RV3, RV4 und RV5. The transport case is designed for roof racks, like our very own CargoBear.
And if you can fit a tent in your Alubox, you can also fit many other long and unwieldy pieces of equipment: shovels, sand ladders, snow chains and everything else that’s needed on expeditions and camping trips.
One more thing: The Wiberg Vikings’ Alubox slogan is “Battered, beaten and still going strong.“ And that’s how we see it, too, when it comes to aluminum cases. Dents, scratches and bruises are at the end of the day part of the deal. They speak of your adventures and that’s why we keep unnecessary and environmentally harmful packaging to a minimum when we are shipping them.

Please note that there is one important consideration about aluminum. As always, we make sure our products are stored, handled and shipped with the utmost care. Aluminum boxes, however, can always show minimal scratches, dull spots, blemishes, small dents or other superficial marks on delivery. These are solely due to the specific properties of the material. On contact with atmospheric oxygen, aluminum develops a natural, anti-corrosion patina. Three times lighter than steel, it is also considerably softer, making it the perfect material for metal sheets, especially when weight and durability are important. The flip side of these properties, though, means that aluminum can never be entirely free of scratches, blemishes etc. This is why these surface marks do not constitute grounds for customer complaints. After all, aluminum boxes are meant to be rugged items for heavy duty use and every mark tells a story. With that in mind, we hope you get the most out of your boxes!

Our Nakatanenga Bear loves to scrub up and keeps everything neat, tidy and protected. That’s why we are introducing our own hanging wash bag with the bear logo on it, for travel, outdoor and camping. Everything else out there hasn’t really done it for us, so we made some key improvements to the most important details and put them all in one cool roll!
Advantage #1 for our Nakatanenga toiletry bag: lots of mesh! We’re using great amounts of mesh material especially in the interior zip bag area, so that the wash roll can dry off quickly after you’ve been to a tiny wet room. If your shampoo or deodorant has leaked again, you can quickly rinse the mesh in a sink or basin. The wash bags exterior is Nylon PU-coated and therefore extremely robust, easy to clean and water resistant.
Advantage #2: our firm G-hook! Even brand wash bags often sport these cheap round hooks that come off with the slightest movement or push. As a result, your personal hygiene items are too often scattered on less than appealing bathroom floors. Our G-hook closes the rolled-up wash bag tightly and you can also use it to hang the bag securely in windy or cramped places. We also enclose a hooked suction cup to firmly fix the bag to smooth surfaces like tiles or glass.
Advantage #3: Roll it up! Roll beats bag, anytime, even when it comes to wash bags. Rolling up your gear minimizes the required storage space and holds everything tightly in place, thereby preventing damage to the bag or your hygiene articles by pointy or sharp objects within. When containers are firmly held together, they are also less likely to accidentally open up and spill the contents. There are two additional loops inside to hold your razor, toothbrush or similar. A water-resistant pocket keeps moisture sensitive items like band aids or medication dry and clean.
Advantage #4: Velcro! Your mirror is kept in place by a Velcro patch. If you need to clean the mirror or use it in your hand, it’s easily taken off the bag. A second Velcro patch on the outside can be used for personalizing your wash roll. Just get one of our handy ID patches and write your name on it. No more accidental grabbing of someone else’s stuff.

The principle of Tool Roll is as ingenious as it is old: roll out instead of junk. The square fits into the round, remains always at the intended place and therefore takes less space altogether. Can you still improve that? We say yes.
The newly developed, modular Nakatanenga Tool Roll owes its added value to our experience as an off-roader, screwdriver and also as a fan of tactical equipment. The clou are big velcro surfaces on the baseplate. So our tool roll can be equipped arbitrarily and is extremely flexible in use.
Depending on the set, up to six tool bags (sizes M and S) can be attached. So you take with you only the tool sets that are really needed. For better clarity, the individual pockets can be color-coded via the zip puller. Fluorescent, writable ID patches help to identify the content, even in the dark. And we also thought about it: Loose bits and pieces find their place in the sewn-in mesh pockets.
The Tool Roll rolls up clean even with maximum placement and is quickly closed or opened with two clip closures. Carrying handle and shoulder strap facilitate transport. When deployed, the Toll Roll on the D-rings (two or three depending on size) is hung on the wall, on the vehicle or on the tree in the field. And by the way: At Nakatanenga, we only use materials with 100% nylon PU coating for all textile articles. Nylon PU (polyurethanes) is, unlike PVC, free from harmful phthalate-based plasticizers. Low molecular weight phthalates were until recently the most common plasticizers for plastics of all kinds and are even used in food and cosmetics. However, they accumulate in the environment and are due to their molecular nature suspected of acting as the body's own hormones. This is toxicologically highly questionable and is considered the trigger for various diseases, including cancer. For Nakatanenga, it goes without saying that when it comes to coating textile products, it is only possible to use environmentally friendly and harmless alternatives such as nylon PU.
