The areas around the doors are corrosion hotbeds in a Defender. Even though this is a well-known fact, the rust remains very often undetected and keeps eating into structural components and body panels. The doors feature many corners, angles and surfaces that constantly trap water and wet dirt. Screw fittings, rivets, welding points, the combination of different materials like steel, aluminum and rubber as well as mechanical stress often exacerbate the problem. If you are facing large scale restoration work in your 4/5 door Defender, you might consider whether a complete replacement of B and C pillars as well as the door sill isn’t the cheaper, quicker and most of all more thorough solution. We are offering entire sets for the right or left side of all models where door seals are only pushed in and not riveted. If you have riveted seals, they need to be adapted. TREKFINDER Fuel filler cap cover for Land Rover Defender

The recessed fuel tank cavity is a typical Defender detail, dating back to very different times. Today’s average drivers would probably shake their heads in disapproval, but Landy enthusiasts will cherish the excentricity and immediately set their minds to fixing the design’s obvious short-comings with a little Defender hack. For a long time, we had been able to offer one of those nifty little fixes under the product name Defendoor, made by a Czech company.
Sadly, both the company and their fabulous product are no longer in existence, but since we still register a lot of demand for fueling cavity covers, we got together with Defender specialists TREKFINDER and breathed new life into the idea.
The cover is as simple as it is effective when it comes to keeping out water, snow, ice, salt, spray, mud and dust. It will also add to the rugged good looks of your Defender. Made from sturdy but slightly flexible high-quality synthetics, it is kept in position by a groove running around the sides. There is no need for screws or rivets or moving parts to hold it securely in place. When fueling, simply press the cover in and remove it from the fueling cavity. The material is UV- and temperature-resistant, guaranteeing long product life and long-lasting quality.
