Legal information

Information on the Battery Act

Used batteries do not belong in household waste. This is emphasised by the following imprint on batteries:

batteriegesetz

We would also like to point out that you, as the end user, are legally obliged to return batteries. You can return batteries free of charge to the point of sale after use.
If certain limit values for metals contained in batteries are exceeded (Hg = more than 0.0005 per cent by mass, Cd = more than 0.002 per cent by mass, Pb = more than 0.004 per cent by mass), there is an obligation to label batteries accordingly. The following abbreviations are used for labelling:

  • "Cd" stands for cadmium
  • "Hg" stands for mercury
  • "Pb" stands for lead

Instruction according to § 8 para. 1 AltölV

In connection with the sale of combustion engine or transmission oil and oil filters, we are obliged as a dealer in accordance with the AltölV to inform you of the relevant regulations and obligations.

We would like to point out that used oil or oil filters and oily waste regularly produced during oil changes are hazardous materials that must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

You can dispose of used oil in the quantity of fresh oil purchased from us as well as oil filters and oily waste regularly produced during oil changes free of charge at our point of sale during operating hours or send it to us for free disposal at your own expense in packaging approved for the transport of hazardous goods.

If you have any questions about the environmentally friendly disposal of used oil, we will be happy to help you and, if necessary, advise you on disposal options in your area.
