The basic construction made of aluminium and stainless steel is screwed to the original mountings of the rear cross bar of the Land Rover Defender. Reinforcement of the rear cross member on the Land Rover Defender Td5 or Td4Although the rear cross member on the Defender is basically stable, it is too flexible for recovery / towing in the long term. The result: the cross member soon bulges outwards.   Our reinforcement kit remedies this problem: The set includes a sturdy reinforcement plate, a bracket for force dissipation and a mounting set. These recovery shackles (2-piece) fit the front bumper of every Land Rover Defender 90/110/130, with and without A/C. They are available in a red powder coat, black galvanized or passivated. Assembly Information: For vehicles with A/C it is important to disassemble the grill, then mount the shackles and then reassemble. All the necessary hardware is enclosed in the package. Rotating recover shackle made from stainless steel. Designed to mount to the OEM front bumper of the Land Rover Defender 90/110/130. Thanks to its extended bearing surface the shackle spreads the load during recovery, to protect the OEM bumper. The entire shackle, including hardware and adapter, is made from stainless steel, preventing corrosion and ensuring safety. The rotating shackle allows for an optimal load on the bumper, even on the worst of roads. To protect pedestrians we have rounded off all the edges to minimize the danger of injuries.
