Awning Evolution
The awning is made of a slightly lighter material, namely a 280g/m² polycotton fabric. This is also further reinforced by the ripstop weave used. Unlike the material of the tent skin, however, this is not only PU-coated on the underside, but also additionally aluminum-coated. This combination of coatings means that there is no fluttering noise despite the lower material weight. In addition, in cooler nights, as long as you put the awning on the tent, the heat that the tent radiates is reflected again. A simple thermal hood - already integrated.
The awning is stretched by its own aluminum poles. Of course, the awning does not need to be re-pulled every time the tent is pitched. This also folds up and down together with the actual tent. Having its own poles does two things:
- The awning does not rest directly on the tent. This prevents capillary forces from drawing water inward.
- An insulating air cushion is created between the tent and the awning, just like a safari roof.

The ground tent of the Roof Lodge Extended models is also made of this 280 g/m² polycotton.
Awning LIGHTWEIGHT
The sun awning is made from the same fabric as the Evolution series sun awnings. It is worth noting that despite the lower material weight, there is almost no fluttering noise. There is not even a hint of the dreaded and really annoying movement crackling that is familiar from polyester.
The poles of the sun sail are identical in construction to those of the Evolution tents.
